How To Prevent Cataracts? - Eating Lifestyle

The leading cause of vision loss is cataracts. One of the most common surgeries performed today is for cataracts. Age-related cataracts is a major cause of morbidity. Previous studies of diet and cataract risk have focused on specific nutrients or healthy eating indexes, but not on identifiable dietary groups such as vegetarians.

The study was the association between diet and cataract risk in a population that has a wide range of diets and includes a high proportion of vegetarians.

The result was a strong relation between cataract risk and diet group, with a progressive decrease in risk of cataract in high meat eaters to low meat eaters, fish eaters (participants who ate fish but not meat), vegetarians, and vegans.

After a multivariable adjustment, incidence rate ratios for moderate meat eaters, low meat eaters, fish eaters, vegetarians, and vegans compared with high-meat eaters. There was an association with cataract risk and intakers of selected nutrients and foods generally reflected the strong association with diet.

The conclusion was that vegetarians were at a lower risk of cataract than meat eaters in this study. Just cutting down on eating meat your risk is cut by 15%. Just do fish you are down 21%. No fish there is a 30% drop in risk. Finally, no eggs and diary there is a 40% drop in risk of cataracts.

Just as with diabetes risk appears to be a stepwise reduction, a progressive decrease in risk in parallel with the decrease in the amount of meat and other animal products in the eating lifestyle.

Ik eet (nog) niet helemaal vegan.. Maar wel zoveel mogelijk. Af en toe eet ik nog een eitje van de boer bij ons in de straat. De kippen hebben het goed daar, en de kippen heeft hij voor hobby. Maar ik kan niet wachten tot we weer zelf kippen hebben en dus ook eitjes van ons eigen kippetjes. Dan weet ik echt zeker dat er niks geks en ergs met de kippen is gebeurt🐔

Banana Pancakes with berries by @plantbasedali_ 😍
Recipe⠀
Ingredients:⠀
150g flour (I used a mix of spelt and wheat flour)⠀
1 tbsp baking powder⠀
1 pinch of salt⠀
1 tsp vanilla powder⠀
1 tbsp sweetener of choice (optional)⠀
a splash of almondmilk⠀
about 1 cup (250ml) sparkling water⠀
1 mashed banana, medium⠀
⠀
Directions:⠀
Mix dry ingredients, then add in mashed banana, splash of almondmilk and mix well. Slowly add in the water and stop adding more once the batter is smooth more thick and not runny. Let it rest for about 5 minutes.⠀
Preheat a non stick pan over medium heat and add in some coconut oil. Then add some of the batter to the pan, form small circles and let it bake until bubbles appear and the edges firm up, flip over and cook for another minute or so. Repeat with remaining dough.⠀
Serve pancakes with fruit, nutbutter, maplesirup or anything you like.

wie ich gerade sehe habe ich euch meinen Bohnensalat vorenthalten. Den gibt es momentan nämlich öfter bei mir, immer mal mit einer anderen Bohnensorte. Dieser hier ist mit Tigerbohnen. Was sonst noch drin ist : Zwiebeln, Kräuter Essig, Kürbiskernöl, Salz, Pfeffer, frische Petersilie und ein Schuss Agavensirup. Ich hatte gestern unglaubliche Kopfschmerzen. So schlimm waren sie wirklich lange nicht mehr 😥 das dumme ist das keinerlei Tabletten helfen 😪 sondern nur schlafen, schlafen, schlafen.  Das konnte ich dann Gott sei dank durch meine Tabletten.. Mich wundert es ja dass ich dennoch morgens so gut aus dem Bett komme 💆
Im Moment habe ich nur leichte Kopfschmerzen worüber ich wirklich verdammt froh bin! 
Ich mach mich jetzt fertig und packe alles für Arbeit ein. 
Aber vor der Arbeit fahre ich noch zur Therapeutin :3 die Stunde brauch ich aber auch um ehrlich zu sein. Ich habe schon die ganze Woche drauf gewartet dass es wieder Dienstag wird. .
Nunja; was habt ihr heute vor? Schule/Arbeit?

Zutaten Gemüsefüllung:
- 1 #zwiebel
- 1 #aubergine - 1 #zucchini - 2 #paprika - 1000 ml passierte #tomaten 
Das Gemüse klein würfeln und in etwas Öl anbraten. Mit den passierten Tomaten aufgießen, mit Salz, Pfeffer und italienischen Kräutern würzen.

Zutaten Bechamelsoße
- 50 ml Öl
- 3 EL Mehl
- 300 ml Pflanzenmilch

Das Öl erwärmen, Mehl einrühren und die Milch schlückchenweise unterrühren. Die Soße kurz aufkochen lassen.

Zutaten Hefeschmelz:

Diesmal habe ich statt Margarine Öl genommen, da ich vergessen hatte welche zu kaufen.
5 EL Öl
3 TL Mehl
1 TL Senf
2 EL #hefeflocken
150ml Wasser

Die Hefeflocken mit dem Wasser verrühren.
Das Öl in einem Topf erwärmen. Das Mehl einrühren und das Hefewasser schlückchenweise unterrühren. Mit Senf und Salz abschmecken und aufkochen lassen.

Abwechselnd Gemüsesoße, Bechamelsoße und Lasagneplatten in eine Auflaufform schichten. Zuletzt kommt der Hefeschmelz drüber und dann kommt die Lasagne für ca. 30 Min bei 180 Grad in den Ofen.

Но сначала, дорогие девочки, поздравляю вас с днем нас😁💚💚💚Будьте любимы, будьте желанны и наконец, самое главное будьте здоровы. А чтобы оставаться здоровыми, у меня рецепт для вас праздничного морковного сыроедческого торта. .
Честно скажу, что опыт в сыроедческих десертах у меня составляет не больше пары месяцев, и поэтому к рецептам я пока подхожу с осторожностью. Но этот тортик не оставлял меня в покое. .
Рецептов в интернете море, но остановилась я именно на этом, который поглядела в замечательном блоге @urbanfoodblog , авторам которого я доверяю😍

РЕЦЕПТ
Сыроедческий морковно-ореховый торт
🍓2,5 ст. натертой моркови (хорошо отжать)
🍓1 ст. кокосовой стружки
🍓1 ст. фиников
🍓1/2 ст. грецких орехов (миндаля)
🍓5 ст.л. кокосовой муки (если нет, то смолоть стружку)
🍓1 ч.л. корицы
🍓цедра апельсина
по щепотке гвоздики, муската и имбиря
Финики и орехи измельчить, добавить остальные ингредиенты. Должно получиться пластичное,не липкое тесто. Сформировать 3 лепешки и убрать в холодильник.

Для крема:
🍓1 ст. кешью (замочить минимум на 2 часа)
🍓1/3 ст. растопленного кокосового масла
🍓3 ст.л. сиропа или меда (3 финика)
🍓Ваниль
🍓2 ст.л. лимонного сока + немного цедры
🍓1/3 ст. апельсинового сока (воды) смотреть по консистенции
Ингредиенты взбить до получения кремообразной массы. Распределить крем по коржам, посыпать стружкой и поставить в холодильник (лучше всего на ночь)

Hora de alimentar esse corpo que me permite vivenciar tantas experiências incríveis! E a natureza é tão maravilhosa e sabia que fornece em cada alimento a quantidade de nutrientes ideal e necessária pra manter nosso corpo funcionando bem! E aí a gente vai comendo um pouquinho de cada coisa e obtendo o que precisamos pra ter saúde! Não é sensacional? Ontem a @tai_mauer e eu estávamos falando disso: vivemos uma era de proteinomania e carbofobia (a @carolvidavegan também falou disso no seu post hoje) em que reduzimos alimentos à: gordura, carboidrato e proteína. Eu não me alimento dessa forma. Não conto quantidade disso ou daquilo. Eu aprendi a ouvir o que meu corpo precisa, o que ele pede e o que ele gosta! E eu respeito muito essa casa em que habito. E você? Ouve seu corpo? Sente o que ele pede? O veganismo me trouxe consciência pra escolher viver em paz e com saúde! 🌱
