Decided to pick up a new project 🌯

After achieving my last two goals of chin ups and toes to bar, I’m feeling the itch and have started to play around with single arm things - specifically, the shawarma.
.
This is day 1 of practicing and after multiple attempts. Working on the requirements in between to build more strength.

Will continue to work on the finer details and make it look prettier in the days to come!

Gon did sum shit today. Gonna get back on some powerlifting to push my maxes. Tried out the log, it's been givn me look so I took it for a whirl. 140lbs. My bench is garbage so I'm just greasing that groove. Make it my mission to bang out 50 reps. Doesn't matter how many sets just keep going even if it's a bunch of singles but it ain't. Tried some low bar but wasn't feeling it, clearly by the excessive butt wink, so I went back to high bar, 205 for some reps. When I get back from vacation I'll be starting smolov 13 week program topped off with pressing and back work because I wanna look like a white Terry Crews.

Most of us spend the majority of our time in internal rotation due to daily activities like gripping the steering wheel and typing. This IR dominance leaves external rotation muscles like the infraspinatus and teres minor available to injuries and muscle imbalances. -

You can strengthen your ER, by doing ER isolation exercises like the one in the video or switch your grips up on your regular exercises by turning your palms towards the ceiling (an 'underhand' grip).

Practicing strength ie repetition is a thing! If you want to get good at something, anything, do it and do it often. Strength is about a lot more then just muscles! Practice makes perfect and practice makes Strong!

Barbell for Cardio!

Fun Fact: I used to be intimated by the barbell. "Yikes that's 45lbs!". Now I make this thing my beetoch. It's incredibly empowering as you get stronger and can move some weights around. Go lift some weights ladies!

Using just the bar, here's what I did:
-
5 bent over rows
5 single leg deadlifts (per leg)
5 overhead squats (sub front or back squats if you can't do OH)
5 reverse lunges (per leg; alternate with lateral & curtsy lunges for fun)
5 push presses

I did 10 sets in around 30mins. Do what you works for you. My heart rate is jacked up by the end of the complex. Challenge yourself by not letting go of the bar until the whole series is over. Have fun!

The sun is out, and this is literally the only type of "cardio" I actually do. I use actual rope with taped up ends⬇️

Why?🤔 This is an old boxing trick to strengthen your wrists and tiny shoulder muscles. Using a rope like this makes you physically propel the rope around, and around, forcing you to use more muscles than regular skipping ropes in a very beneficial way.🙌

The actual cardiovascular aspect is much better because more muscles are firing during the exercise making your heart work harder🔥
