It was with the idea for citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country that President Harry S. Truman led the effort to establish this single holiday. The one-day celebration then stemmed from the unification of the Armed Forces under the Department of Defense. It was on August 31, 1949, that Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace separate Army, Navy, Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard and Air Force Days.

Question of the day...does a great diet and exercise help you stay young? .
Answer: YES .
When I’m asked how old I am I tell them to guess....consistently I get told I’m 28 or 33 or 34 but never older than that..why? .
Sure I’ve been blessed with some great genes from my Latina momma but if I was eating junk food all the time and not exercising the genes wouldn’t matter. .
Even got told today I’m an 8.5 on the hotness scale so not too shabby 🤔🤷🏻♂️🙌🏼
The bottom line is you can improve your life span, quality of life, self esteem Nd confidence level just by taking proper care of yourself 👊🏼👊🏼
By the way I’ll be 40 in July 😉
