Happy Earth Day!!🌏 Switching it up a little and turning the camera around! While I love the way a healthy lifestyle makes me feel strong and energized, it’s also amazing what it can do for confidence and state of mind. And when I talk about a healthy lifestyle, I mean nutrition, sleep, skincare, relationship with God, etc. Now, I don’t get 8 hrs of sleep all the time (rarely in fact), and my hair only looks this good if I take the time, but my skin has been a major priority for me lately! I used to break out on my forehead and had a bad habit of picking, but after seeing how distressed my skin was, I decided something had to change! In addition to only eating unrefined/natural sugar, quality dairy, and high quality grain, I started the Korean skincare regimen (about 10 months ago) with the help of @peachandlily and have noticed a huge difference! It has added about 10 mins to my nightly routine, but I think it is SO worth it! I shared my most recent haul on the left and have been using it for over a month with amazing results! Not only is my skin improving, but my attitude and self-confidence has grown! I say good morning to strangers, I hold my head up a little higher and share a smile, etc. To try and relate it a little to today...this 🌏 Day, fix your mind on what makes you a better person to others; reassess your priorities whether it be religion, family, or health; I think caring for others and the earth we all share go hand in hand, so while it is imperative to take care of the environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling, it is also SO important to show others you care about them.

Has anyone had a Hail Merry tart before ? I'm pretty obsessed with the lemon flavor and had to recreate a similar version. 🍋

I finally did something with the #polenta (or corn meal mush as my mama nem woulda called it) that I made last week as part of the #soulSpringCleaning challenge. Swipe to see the products I used which include this ridiculously delicious #coconut#hempMilk , some #unrefinedSugar @fivepointsfermentation turned me onto (most other sugars give me a headache) and some #blueberries . Even without the cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract my roommate apparently smashed, it was pretty darn good. My son said the only problem is that some of the blueberries weren't sweet, so now I'm cooking it down until all the blueberries burst which should take care of that little problem. Thanks again to the hosts and sponsors of the challenge. It was enlightening! If you're interested in making your own polenta see @sproutingDreamsLLC's recipe below. Sweet Dreams #ALL ! 😚💞✌
#Repost @sproutingdreamsllc (@get_repost)
yield: 4-5 servings
1 cup dried polenta (do NOT use instant or quick-cooking polenta for this recipe), Yellow Cornmeal
5 cups water
1 tsp salt
Salt and pepper
2-3 tbsp refined coconut oil ( or vegan butter)
Combine water and salt in a heavy saucepan, then add polenta in a thin stream, whisking while you are pouring. bring mixture back to a boil. Whisk frequently to avoid lumps.
After 2 minutes, when mixture begins to spits (pops at you), turn heat down to medium-low. Continue to cook, stirring often, for about 45-50 minutest.
Remove from heat and whisk in coconut oil and season to taste.
