I try not to take too many food pictures, however a visit to Room4Dessert really tested me here. Anyone visiting Ubud must try the taster menu, absolutely divine. Restaurant developed by the acclaimed New York pasty chef, Will Goldfarb. Will also features on an episode of Chefs Table, Netflix. .
[ FOOD ] 🍉 One of the many things I enquired on these past few months is in relation to nourishing my body.
I am learning to give my body the food it really needs and deserves. To consciously & regularly choose my meals asking myself "How do I want to feel in 2 hours time?" rather than making food choices which can sound reassuring for the mind but not sustainably healthy nor deeply nourishing for the body such as "I need coffee to wake up in the morning, after lunch & dinner, I need to eat crips/sweets as I feel bored or upset, etc". These are patterns calling for attention which have been so interesting to observe lately. Choosing with and for the body, not the mind. That doesn't mean that it has to be like that all the time right at the beginning, and I do not wish for now to label myself in terms of food preferences, nor follow any specific diet, I also love wine and cheese by the way 🇫🇷 ~ but just trusting myself connecting to my body needs and gradually starting to eat accordingly 🌱💛 🙏🏻💗 @katereardonloves
And this one is absolutely breathtaking! Tegalalang rice terrace. A short scooter journey via curvy road surrounded by lush tropical jungle, definitely worth the effort. Remember to always wear your helmet whenever you are on your scooter 😁👍🏻

Words keep us in this dimension, words express the life we see. Words limit our expression but let us express our earthly experience.
I am leaving Mama Bali on this day. Messages unfolding through emotions and feelings. A body brimmed up with rooting and uplifting love - holding me safely in this life - with pain, with joy and laughter, with tears and deep grief. Again, my words don't do justice, they are scratching the surface of the depth of my feelings. I'm not someone who over exaggerate through words, not someone who overly expresses that way.
But life, which is condensed experiences, got me to feel almost each cell of my body. You gotta eat nature, eat earth to connect. Connect to the ground, to different dimensions, to others creatures, to humans and most importantly to your own being. By this connection for the first time I understand oneness. I feel nondualism. You might never understand A THING until you FEEL it ! Feel it all, no judgment, no distraction.
The things I've chosen to learn here, the connections I was able to build here, the feelings I allowed to unfold here will be guiding lessons. I have learned to receive, to be vulnerable, I have learned about my qualities my abilities my power. I understand the roots of my pain more and more letting it in for relieve.
You are the universe, my universe. You are me.
My tribe, my lovers - Thank You. (I get goosebumps). dhanyavaad @mysticpathoftaran my lifelong partner in crime
into you from earth
playing in you
being in you
never been disconnected
don't reject it
don't just make noise
make love, give blood
and don't just survive
vive, vive, revive
with earth that's alive
you can slow down
turn minutes into seconds
and scared shit into lessons
see lights so warm and bright
feel touch so close and light
I see you eyes
I see worlds sadness
through your eyes
take it in
turn it around
into love drawing back down
Deeply in love w/ 📸 @joey.jn 🌱🐈 the grass, the cat, your hands were so soft.
There is something very special about traveling and practicing yoga. The mindfulness that yoga instills allows you to really submerge in the culture and beauty of the environment. Not to mention the amazing people you meet, often creating life long friendships. Join me on my next yoga and culture retreat in Ubud, Bali. Link is on my profile page. #tbt#guatemala @villasumaya
