Time to put a little snap into someones Friday with these devilishly rich and creamy brandy snaps. Fiddly to roll and you have to cook them for the just the perfect amount of time, but they’re totally worth the wait. With freshly whipped brandy cream to go inside... D E L I S H ✨Top Tip:Bake max 4 at a time per baking sheet as they spread out and have to be rolled immediately after coming out of the oven. Don’t wait too long or they’ll harden and won’t roll. But try too soon and you’ll burn your hand (trust me!). Use the end of a wooden spoon to roll them around but make sure you can slide it off a narrower end afterwards!
What I learned from making these tuilles:
1. Only bake 4 at a time
2. After they’ve been in the oven for 2 minutes, just stare at them until they’re done
3. Repeatedly burning your fingertips for several hours may be painful
4. Tempering chocolate is still not fun
Nevertheless, I had a blast making these tuille cigars, inspired by #thegreatbritishbakeoff once again
