Hello from Portland! 🙋🏻♀️. We’re having gorgeous sunny days here this week, so dining at a rooftop restaurant is a must ☀️!! Visited @departurepdx’s upscale Asian-fusion restaurant (on top of @thenineshotel) and ordered a million different dishes. Pictured were my faves - Miso Scallops ($22) and Crispy Pork Belly ($15) 🤤
The citrus refresher to my left and a bunch of goodness and a half eaten cookie because I couldn’t wait to my right! This was my first time having malasadas and gourmet cookies. And it was amazing! Especially since the malasadas were filled with matcha and guava. Also, the cookies are 6oz each! My favorite two were the blueberry coconut pecan and peanut butter chocolate.

Look at that marbling 🐮😍 This Matsusaka beef is the same as Kobe beef except it's from a different region of Japan (hence, named after the region Matsusaka instead of the region Kobe).
Its probably not an overstatement to say this was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life 🙈 The beef tasted like umami butter with incredible texture, and it's better than most beef even when eaten without any salt or pepper. This beef is only available in Japan and is never exported. If you're willing to splurge 💸💸, I highly recommend trying it!! 👍
le parfait signature: dark chocolate mousse with crunchy praline biscuit. a little bitterness and a hint of sweetness. the mousse paired so well with the biscuit giving the dessert the perfect texture.
