Where are my tired mamas who don’t have the time to relax poolside or get an even tan on the beach ? If you can’t remember when you last finished a hot cup of coffee ☕️ your probably her !! Are you also the mom who protects and understands date nights with the hubs !? I’ve got something for you tired mamas !! 😴For the next date night , you must layer this foaming tanner on just a few hours before you go out ! It gives us an added dose of confidence to show off our legs that don’t ever sit to rest !
Every Thursday or Friday I put two coats of this amazing tanner on my legs ... and depending on what I’m doing, I may just layer it on the rest of me too . When the husband tells you he likes “it.” You know it’s good . I layer myself with as much sunscreen as I put on my son (especially being in South Carolina ), but that has never kept me from having a beautiful sun(less) kissed tan with no burn , and no lines !
Date nights are a must ... and so are dresses and beautiful legs to go with them!! Where are my mama bears who’d like that dose of confidence for their legs ?💕🙋♀️ Since you also don’t have time to shop , I can order it for you !!
Happy volunteer week

I’m so glad I had “grit” 🏃🏻♀️to push through when I was building something from nothing almost 13 years ago. And then while I was sleeping last night my team went global 🌎and in May so far we have added 5 business partners. In my heart I knew it would happen. Did I feel like giving up when is was not happening...YES! Grit pushes through, whatever your gig🔥...never,never, never give up! #truegrit#presson#successtakestime#beaconofhope#hopedealer
My next fight is on June 30th at @queensburyboxing (The Copthorne Effingham park hotel, West Sussex, RH10 3EU ) This time I’m fighting with someone bigger than me 😱 but it won’t a make a big difference it’ll still be the same result 😂💪🏼 or shall I play with him little bit longer 🤪

#transformationtuesday doesn’t necessarily have to be about how ones appearance has changed but can also be from a performance perspective
From one of my first OCR events (minus a night attack) to the latest one
The left photo was taken at true grit in 2015 where I unfortunately lost that go pro
Not an elite wave or anything but just a bit of fun not realising what was to follow over the years
The photo on the right being the Spartan 50km ultra this past April
The transformation part is realising how much I have actually done in between those 3 years
-7 true grit events
-6 spartan events
-3 spartan trifectas
-Shitloads of finisher medals and t-shirts
A sub 60 minute city to bay run then sub 50 the following year
80 plus km in the 24 hour true grit enduro
At least 15 half marathons and plenty that were close to it
6 times where I did over 50 km in a single event or training session
2 of those were over 70km
- Qualifying for OCR world championships 2 years in a row (didn’t realise last year until it was 2 late)
2017 age group winner for trail running SA
Top 3 finish at dirt wars
2x 1st place age group finishes (1 was equal first)
-Qualified to compete in the spartan ultra championships in Iceland this December
And thats just off a quick research, I’m sure there is heaps more
Some people just don’t realise how much they accomplish in such a short time. Even if I don’t actually win at these events it’s still a long list of achievements
Now anytime I feel down about something I can look at this and realise that so much has been accomplished and so much more is still to come.
About 10 years ago, when I thought nothing of spending three hours at the gym a night (much to my trainers dismay) and ran kms and kms throughout the week (#issues ), I would freak out at the suggestion of barbell squats. I was terrified of the bar, as I had developed recurring L4/L5 disc issues coupled with sciatica, due to various life style factors ie:
- lack of recovery - deskjob - long car commutes
Something as small as running down hill or wearing heels was likely to aggravate things to the point where walking or sitting would be painful.
While I got some positive change by investing in a good pt, this went downhill when he moved on and no amount of physio or clinical Pilates seemed to completely solve the problem.
This went on for years, until I actually started loading up the bar. Gradually over time I grew stronger and stronger, built up a solid base and the occurrences became few and far between. Today I very rarely have any issues at all (unless I do something questionable #operatorerror 🙈) What I have found in learning from some of the best in the industry and from personal experience, is that avoiding strength training was one of the biggest mistakes I could have made.... both in terms of body composition and in terms of injury risk/recovery.
If you’re having trouble moving due to injury/pain, do yourself the biggest favour you can and invest in health professionals that can help you resolve the issues and get yourself strong.
Otherwise you risk a future of recurring issues, eventual surgeries, limited mobility and dependence on others. And that doesn’t sounds very appealing, right?

Anyone else's weekend look like this? Shot the Old Dominion Open this weekend, in the worst rain I can remember. Very proud of my 4H kids who showed some top veteran shooters how to do It in the worst conditions possible. Congrats to JT McKeel for winning Doubles Gun Champion and A Class HOA, Nate Rush for winning C Class HOA, and Macy Simmons for winning her first E Class HOA. #skeet#skeetshooting#nationalskeet#nssa#4h#shootlikeagirl#truegrit#pewpewlife
