In the bodyweight community, there are two sides. One group that doesn’t believe in weight training at all and one group that likes me blend bodyweight strength and weight training. We fall into the second group as we find this is more effective and that most people will experience overall better gains with this method
.
The main thing to keep in mind, however, is that for OPTIMAL gains, you want to keep your exercise selection good. You don’t just want to pick exercises at random. Instead, you want use bodyweight as your main tool and use weights to fill in for the places bodyweight misses!

A common mistake people make is using overlapping exercises. For example, a Handstand Pushup develops overhead pushing strength. An Overhead Press with a barbell ALSO develops overhead pushing strength. So which one should you do?

Easy. The Handstand Pushup will not only develop your overhead pushing strength, but also develop your overhead press as well! While it’s not a 1:1 ratio, I have noticed that after acquiring a couple reps of full range of motion handstand push-ups, that I’m able to perform a bodyweight overhead press without ever overhead pressing! Not only that, but I’m quite sure if I spent some time practicing the movement and my bar path didn’t look like it was being driven by a drunk walrus, I would be able to easily add more weight
.
The reverse isn’t as true. I have yet to see anyone acquire a Handstand Pushup will only doing Overhead Presses. The Handstand Pushup takes more skill and  complexity to acquire. Even after getting a bodyweight Overhead Press, you would still likely need to spend a decent amount of time going through the Handstand Pushup progressions
.
None of this is to say that Overhead Pressing is bad or a waste of time. It’s still a great lift and will get you stronger. But if you’re bodyweight strength enthusiasts seeking maximal gains, devote your time to the Handstand Pushup and you’ll get more bang for your buck!

Next time you hit arms, try a split where you go 12, 10, 8 then 20 reps where your last set of 8 is the heaviest you can go followed by dropping the weight and getting 20 more reps. The goal is to push yourself to failure then allow your muscle to really contract with 20 lighter reps

⚫️Hareketi yavas ve dogru formda yapmak onemlidir . Cok agir yapmak size bir sey kazandirmez onemli olan dogru agirlikla calismaktir.

Did 8 Deadlift with 305 today 😁 Below are STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS on each exercise I did as part of my lower/upper back workout ➡️⬇️ Get it 👍

Reps (12,10,10,8)
➡️Deadlift- Great For lower back ✔️
1. Start with legs hip width and grip outside your hips
2. Get the bar an inch from your shins
3. Keep your arms straight with your chest out
4. Lift with your legs, and your shoulders and hips should raise at the same
5. Bar should come straight up and once it gets passed your knees slide it up your legs
6. Do the opposite down ➡️Bent Over Barbell Row
1. Grab the bar with palms facing down
2. Keep knees bent and keep your back straight
while making it almost parallel to the floor
3. Bring the bar towards your stomach
4.Squeeze your back at the top and go back down ➡️Dumbells Incline Row
1. lean on an incline bench or sit facing the bench
2. Bring the wieghts to your side by retracting your shoulder blades 
3. Squeeze at the top

Did 8 Deadlift with 305 today 😁 Below are STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS on each exercise I did as part of my lower/upper back workout ➡️⬇️ Get it 👍 Reps (12,10,10,8) ➡️Deadlift- Great For lower back ✔️ 1. Start with legs hip width and grip outside your hips 2. Get the bar an inch from your shins 3. Keep your arms straight with your chest out 4. Lift with your legs, and your shoulders and hips should raise at the same 5. Bar should come straight up and once it gets passed your knees slide it up your legs 6. Do the opposite down ➡️Bent Over Barbell Row 1. Grab the bar with palms facing down 2. Keep knees bent and keep your back straight while making it almost parallel to the floor 3. Bring the bar towards your stomach 4.Squeeze your back at the top and go back down ➡️Dumbells Incline Row 1. lean on an incline bench or sit facing the bench 2. Bring the wieghts to your side by retracting your shoulder blades 3. Squeeze at the top Comment below if any help is needed!
