Our final days in Akumal included a lot of extra rain from the tropical depression (which may be turning into a hurricane?). But each day still included several hours free of rain...or, simply walking on the beach while it was raining. I had hoped to drive/boat to Isla Holbox with the kids on Thursday as our final day trip. But the torrential storm canceled that plan. Given all that we packed in during these 5 weeks, we are grateful to have squeezed so much into a short time that also held a lot of work and behind-the-scenes dealing with issues back in the US and beyond. So incredibly grateful.

Road trip with three year old twin boys could be a bit scary. We are going to be on the road for about 3 - 4 hrs today so this morning I put together few play packs for the boys: (1) play dough + cookie cutters, (2) scissors + glue stick + washi tape + paper, (3) pipe cleaners + Apple Jacks
(4) foam stickers + paper + tiny stamp pads + stamps
I also packed extra paper, crayons, coloring sheets, sticker sheets, travel paper pads and a few small but interesting books for them. My goal is to keep them from watching too much TV and have fun with them. I think I am as prepared as can be. Lets see how it goes....
Aside from Esmé striking this quite exquisite pose 🤣🤣🤣, this sculpture felt like it was quite fitting for us at this moment in time....The sign reads ‘La Famille de voyageurs’ (A travelling family) depicts a family visiting Gardens by the Bay before heading home. As they depart Singapore, they take with them beautiful memories and leave a part of themselves behind. Inspired by the universal theme of travel by Bruno Catalano
Archives 2015: Et oui!
Ciao 🤪
People often ask if it's difficult to travel with babies. My answer is always a resounding no. It's so much easier to travel with babies than toddlers. This one insists on walking on her own, at a snail's pace, with no regard for the throngs of people around us. Then this is her reaction when we kept telling her to walk faster and stay near us. It was so much easier when she wanted to be carried.
We spent the day in St Andrews yesterday, another one of Scotland’s charming towns. If you are a fan of ⛳️ golf, this is where it was invented! But unfortunately there were no games played this time around (sorry Bryan!) 😢 But we did get to see the castle as well as the cathedral which was Scotland’s largest and most magnificent medieval church. Still to this day, in it’s ruins, it is an impressive sight! Have you visited St Andrews?
Oh mickey, you so fine. You so fine you blow my mind.
Know what else blows my mind? The Pacific Northwest! This area is stunning, and I’m so thankful we took this one-way #disneycruise up here so we can explore the area. .
Dig the bag I have here? Me too! My friend @mamasbestiesvinyl made it, and is offering it to YOU for 10% off. Snag it before she says see ya real soon to the deal 👍 (link in my profile).
