Local beach 2 hours away from Yogyakarta on the other side of the mountain. We had to stop a few times to ask the locals on how to get to our destination. Love that this beach was secluded and we had the whole beach to ourselves.
Una de las vistas más impresionantes de Yosemite: el Glacier Point View. La inmensidad del paisaje te deja realmente fascinado!!

Everyone knows that the Japanese take off their shoes when entering the home. But did you know this custom is actually much more prevalent than just the home? Here’s a picture at my gym, Gold’s Gym, Osaka. To enter the locker room area, you must take off your shoes and walk in either with slippers provided at the side, with socks, or barefoot. It's the same at schools, temples, the local dentist, hospitals, etc. Upon entering through the doors, there is a shoe cabinet and slipper cabinet for you to swap your shoes for a pair of slippers. Unfortunately, the slippers have only 1 child size and 1 adult size and my feet are way too big for both so I don't even bother with the slippers. However, when I taught English at schools, I would always brought my own slippers. This is all because the Japanese view dirty shoes coming from outside inside something to be avoided at all costs. If you visit Japan, please be aware of this. What do you think of this custom? Do you think it's too troublesome? Do you think taking shoes off at home is good enough? #cleanlinessisnexttogodliness#japanwithfamily#KidsTravelJapan#japaneseculture
Tired legs. Tired tantrums. Tired parents. ✨
Traveling with your kids isn’t for the faint of heart. That’s why we don’t call it “going on vacation” but “making memories abroad” 😜 ✈️
If you’ve dared, where have you taken the littles? And if you haven’t yet, what place would you like to explore with them? Drop us you musings below 👇🏼❤️
Today was not a blissful day in paradise. Our anchor chain looks like little baby sharks used it as a teething ring.
Patrick spent hours going through it piece by piece after discovering a hole in the first 5 meters.
We have 30 in the middle that's fine.
But it turns out the first 5 after the anchor were held together with luck and a wish.
So freaking glad they held until we discovered it!
So now Barbados is officially out. We'll sail to Dominica to visit friends who are staying there longer term before making our way to Martinique to get new chain.
The nice thing about living on a boat means when the frustrating things about living on a boat start to drive you crazy you just jump in the water. It's like balm to your soul that washes the crap away.
Or at the very least hearing your 3 year old gurggle "fish fish fish" as he snorkels does.
And afterwards with the sting of disappointment washed away we realized we got Barbados into our head because Silia and her family moved there mid January. Only they just went back to Berlin for the summer. The sail we wanted to pick up can be shipped to St. Lusia and we get to see Dominica and skip 2 days of beating against the wind because Silia and her family are worth it. Except they won't be there! 😅😅😅 Funny how we fixate on things beyond what we wanted in the first place.
Mind cages are insidious things!!
Pretty splendid huh ??? Not just the photo... but the building... :) #Tjibaou cultural center is one of the most beautiful and well made cultural centers we have ever visited.... The aerial views are just mighty ! Comment below if you agree :) 8km outside Noumea It opened in June 1998 and was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano and named after Jean-Marie Tjibaou, the leader of the independence movement who was assassinated in 1989 and who had a vision of establishing a cultural centre which blended the linguistic and artistic heritage of the #Kanak people
See this and alot more in our travel series ! Check out episode 1 of our New Caledonia series

Memorial Day weekend is coming up and that means the unofficial start of Summer road trips and quick local getaways.
Recently, I started using the @bubblebumusa an inflatable, deflatable, portable and packable car booster seat for kids aged 4-11 weighing 30-70 pounds. Simple inflate via mouth, loop into adult seat belt (see instastories for info) and you’re all set!
It’s served me well when we drive into Manhattan, park in a lot and have multiple stops, thus requiring to Uber from one adventure to the next. Bubble Bum is ideal if you want the kids to go with grandparents or their favorite auntie, on a mini trip, giving you some extra time for #MeaningfulMeMoments .

Saturday May 12 was a sunny ☀️and beautiful day to kick off our Alaska cruise in Vancouver. Jasper and I were onboard by 11am on the Nieuw Amsterdam and had stateroom access at 11:30! We then quickly unpacked as we had carry on luggage only for this cruise and headed off for a round of celebration beverages- virgin pina colada for the kiddo and chardonnay for the mommay 😁 What is YOUR fave celebratory beverage on a vacay?
New post is up on the blog about our quick stop in Hollywood the day of the Solo: A Star Wars Story world premiere on the red carpet! We got to see the giant Millennium Falcon being constructed on Hollywood Blvd. Can't wait for opening night on Thursday!
✈️🚂⛴ COMENTEN PARA LEER SUS EXPERIENCIAS Y APRENDIZAJES 🤣👌🏼❤️#viajarconniños#momof3#trip#travelwithkids#kidstrip#momtips#bestexperiences#memories#kidsphotography#arroundtheworl#italy
We’ve made it to the most Northern point in Vietnam 🇻🇳 It took some uphills and steps to reach the flag tower. From here you are able to look into China 🇨🇳 Unfortunately the weather did not play along and we were in the clouds ☁️ All of this in our latest 🎥
These two cousins are so excited with the news that I blogged their 1st Birthday Celebration!! Their families travelled from different states to vacation on Singer Island beach and celebrate these two cuties. Want to see more from this session? If you go to @lynnstudios1 and click on the link, you will see how they had their cake, and ate it too. 💕
Apparently today is #nationalswimsuitday . Isn’t it always something? 😂
It’s grey and quite cold here in the Bay Area today - definitely not swim suit weather - so here’s a look back at our Spring Break trip to Los Angeles and our stay at the @thekinneyvenicebeach. It wasn’t really swim suit weather when we were there either but the hot tub sure made up for it!
