The Cinnamon Snail | Penn Plaza, New York, USA.
After watching countless plant-based vloggers go to @cinnamonsnail and seeing some of their 100% vegan goodies I was excited to track this place down. Given the name I felt it would be wrong not to order a cinnamon scroll (referred to as a “cinnamon snail” on their menu for obvious reasons). It was finger licking good! 🤤 Very sweet and perfectly cinnamon-y 👌🏻 My only critique is that my snail was a little smooshed 😂 My friend said this was a little too sweet for her liking so keep that in mind if you don’t have the sweet tooth that I have and maybe opt for something else from the mouthwatering cabinet of options. I had expected to find a small cafe when I went looking for this place but they are actually located within a little food court and are much smaller than I expected. It’s definitely worth the search 👍🏻
I spent one day in Da Nang, Vietnam. I found this adorable vegan, macrobiotic restaurant that served me a spring roll and noodle salad. What a concept! It was dressed with peanut sauce and definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in Vietnam so far. 🤤😋 wish I could go back for more!!
just when I was getting pretty confident in my hiking capabilities Africa had to go and throw in ladders and chains and get me climbing up the side of mountains wtf 🤦🏻♀️😭😂 when I turned the corner (thinking I was at the top) and saw that, I was pretty much ready to turn back, especially knowing I’d have to climb back down in the dark BUTTTTT then some loser and to go and make the comment to another guy to “not quit like the girls” 🙄 so naturally I had to finish lol 😅💁🏻♀️ the view at the top was sooooooo worth me being on the verge of crying the whole way down aha 😍😂 but my fav part was defs the fact that even though I’m alone in a different country, is still had a group of kick ass people from all over the world the universe sent to help support me along the way 💖🙈

I know I’m a bit late on the whole earth day thing, I’m actually late for most things, apologies 🙈
I’ve been working on writing a blog post all about why I turned vegan.. So I thought I would share a small snippet of it with you all on this special day.

925 million humans around the world are suffering from the effects of hunger.
Every year, starvation claims the lives of over 2.5 million children under the age of five.
But wait.. There is enough food on earth to feed every last man, woman, and child.
So why do people around the world continue to starve?
Even though there are enough plant-based foods grown to feed the entire human population, the majority of crops are fed to livestock.
In 2011, 883 million tons of corn, and 260 million tons of soybeans were grown globally. However, on average, 40-50% of that corn, and 80% of those soybeans are fed to farmed animals, rather than being eaten directly by humans.
scientists reached the conclusion that if all food crops were fed directly to humans instead of animals, around 70% more food would be added to the world’s supply, which would be enough to feed 4 billion additional people.
That sudden surplus alone would be enough food to feed over half the humans on earth, let alone the 925 million who face hunger every day.

Beyond sushi | New York, USA.
First stop after landing in New York was @beyondsushinyc 😂 I always see images from the NYC-based accounts of this incredible 100% plant-based chain so I was very excited to try it for myself. We ordered the two sushi rolls pictured as well as the “Smokey Tom” dumplings and the coconut curry noodle soup. Both the rolls were delicious but my love for mushrooms had me going back for the mighty mushroom over the green machine. The dumplings had the most delicious tahini sauce. Everything was very tasty but the dumplings and the mighty mushroom roll were my winners. Please come to Australia!
