I actually ordered a chicken claypot but got a seafood one - not complaining but I actually felt like chicken, which is almost never. The seafood claypot was light in flavour and a nice break from the highly spicy Thai beef salad (would not have it any other way). It had glass noodles, a generous amount of prawns and cabbage. The beef noodles was great. If the seafood claypot and beef noodles did not have their meats in the dish, you would almost think it would be the same broth but when you taste them, they would be worlds apart and their flavours are so distinct. I kept going back and forth in between the two that I was getting full on the broth.
Their coconut rice is hands down the best I have ever had. It was not one of those that would be a soft subtle taste but legitimately tasted like they poured coconut cream all over it. I could have easily just had the rice as a meal on its own and would have been very happy.
Thai milk tea was surprisingly light which went well with all the food. It helped cut through the spiciness of the salad and was not as thick as you would normally get, and not sickingly sweet - not that I have ever cared that Thai milk tea was very sweet.
Would highly recommend Tom Toon for your Thai fix. On top of the amazing food, they are very well priced for the cuisine. *cough* Jinda *cough*
