End of Day 4: Pinnaroo to Murray Bridge.
The 4 riders that did this Type 1 Challenge last year who are running this ride said today was the hardest day of all. The heat and the headwinds were exhausting. I rode 135/180kms today. Tomorrow we get a sleep in and then head into the Barossa. I’m very excited to see the QLD Team at our lunch spot - I’m sure it will give me a boost to finish the final 120kms tomorrow.
Or perhaps it’s just the definition of a sleep deprived Mom! I remember getting up multiple times in the night with my first and just resorting to giving her a comfort feed so she would go back to sleep but knowing it wasn’t the solution and it wasn’t fixing anything! Finally I came to my absolute breaking point and knew something needed to change!
Can you relate? .
What can I say that already hasn’t been? So I’ll just say thank you.
To our incredible staff at @tracksmithrunning for hustling to exhaustion.
To the runners of Boston for inspiring us.
To the Boston running community for uniting and making all of us proud.
To @coffeebylt for keeping us caffeinated all weekend and @sufferfestbeer for giving us something to look forward to at the end of the day. And pizza. Lots of pizza.
To our marathon champions, @des_linden and Yuki for reminding us not just on Marathon Monday but through their careers that hard work pays off.
And to Boston. For being the undeniably greatest marathon there is.
That was truly bananas.
