I was blessed to be able to take a spontaneous two day beach trip with my friend right after exams. Sometimes the best de-stressor is dropping everything and taking some time to clear your mind. A simple sun salutation flow at your own pace is a great way to connect mind to soul to body’s breath. It only takes a few minutes of your day to give yourself a little lovin!

It is through your awareness of who you (really) are that opens the space for self love.
This books invites you into the awareness of your truth daily. Self love comes with awareness of self and care of self. Part of self care is the time and energy you offer yourself. When you make time for yourself in a loving honoring way, you send your subconscious mind messages that you matter, that you are worthy. These messages, over time, accumulate and increase your belief in yourself.
We all have days that this comes easier than other days. A ritual that we commit to daily supports us in times where our truth is more difficult to access.
This is why I not only highly recommend this book, I gift it to those I love, I add it to the programs, workshops and retreats I offer. And I use this book for me and my continued support of who I am, what I am and how I serve.

Today I left the house tired. I drained my cup. I had a great day with my kids, but I just needed time to recharge.
I got in the car and didn’t know where I was going. I just drove.
I haven’t explored much of Hamilton’s greenery. I haven’t seen all the falls. All the botanical gardens.
Today I got just a taste. My ears almost hurt from the silence as I stepped out of my vehicle.
As I walked down the path, I could hear birds singing. So many different songs. Bumble bees 🐝 busy collecting nectar. The air fresh. And not one person around. (For a short while anyway).
I forgot how much I needed this. How much WE ALL need to reconnect with nature. I sat on the hill (this one behind me) and just breathed.
Okay, sounds poetic, but really I could not stop my wandering mind, and the sound of bugs in my ears made me jumpy. I’m rusty after all. City living has made me skittish!
But it was a solid reminder that taking a couple moments out of your day to breathe with Mother Earth is so fulfilling.
This is my reminder to anyone who wants it - get out this week. Sit with nature. Breathe and listen. Just be as present as you can be. Even if it’s for a flash in time. The more you practice, the better it will feel.
Next time I’ll bring TerraShield to keep the bugs away!
