Get to know your drill: tips, tricks and bits - women's DIY workshop.
If you would like to gain confidence in using drills in a friendly, all women environment, this workshop is for you.
Bring along your drill if you have one, or there will be some available to try out in the workshop if you don't have one. You can also bring along any other power tools if you want to learn how to use them safely and confidently.
Facilitator Stella Peyerl will take you through using power drills and drivers.
By the end of the session you will:
Know the difference between drills and drill drivers.
Know how to identify drill bits for different materials ie wood, brick, concrete and tiles.
Have looked at different types of screws and fixings.
Have had a chance to try out drilling and screwing.
Have completed practical exercises to improve competence.
