Selling all my LuLaRoe to cover costs of a therapy playroom for my son Teagan who has under gone 3 brain surgeries in the last 6 months due to JPA .. Teagan is 2 years old and my baby of 6. He is a twin and before his diagnosis he was the sweetest most outgoing adventurous little man. Now Teagan has posterior fossa syndrome, sixth nerve palsy, seizures and emotional instability. All of this is lost surgery deficits. For now Teagan is cancer free, but he still has a very long road ahead of him. We have therapy multiple times a week, MRIs every 3 months for the next 2 years and he is learning to walk again. After surgery he had to learn to do everything all over. He is a fighter that’s for sure. Teagan doesn’t know he needs to be careful and pushes himself to the brink of self harm.
All sales from my left over pieces will hopefully cover this playroom for him. He deserves a safe place to play with his siblings and not get hurt.

Great 7 am Saturday start. Approaching the final week of the @hybridperformancemethod deadlift protocol. Today was a 1x1 at 97.5% which comes out to 600lbs. Wasn’t really feeling too loose this morning, but as I went through my warmup weights and hit some heavy singles, I started feeling better. Stepped up to the bar and was able to get it! Though after reviewing the video, I wouldn’t say I got a good lockout. I’ll take it for today though! Super excited to test a new 1RM next week.
Afterwards, I tried something that I’ve seen @briandecosta post about before: 405 for 20 reps. It felt pretty great until rep 15 and then it all suddenly slowed way down. I ended up with 18. Wish I could’ve gotten the last two but my back started feeling iffy and I didn’t want to risk missing gym time for two last ego reps. Hopefully next time!
I can’t say enough good things about this program. It’s taught me that my body is capable of more than I gave it credit for. I’ve hit weight for multiple reps multiple times a week that I only used to do for one maybe once a week. It’s gotten me out of my comfort zone and it’s helped me realize I have a lot more to give. So thank you to the awesome people at @hybridperformancemethod for creating a fantastic and challenging program. @hayden.bowe @steficohen @marcus.leoni. Hopefully one day I can come down to Miami and get yelled at by @alexuslar too. 😂

I remember all too often ending my days in disappointment in myself night after night because I could see what I wanted to do and the person I desired to become but didn't.
All that has changed now... I simply found that I was programming the right software in the wrong systems.

I was awake early today, so ready to do my first yoga and meditation practice in my new therapy space. In the past I used to spend so much time giving to others and fitting in, not focusing on my needs. I now do a regular yoga practice and meditation daily. This regular habit gives me focus and gets me into the zone, ready to start my day. Now it hasn’t always been like this, I don’t want to pretend it’s been easy. Our minds can be so busy with being busy that we end up tired, unfocused and start to worry about the future. Checking in with ourselves every day and asking ourselves “what do I need today “ is a great start. Creating healthy habits, leads us to a happy life. We are no good to ourselves or others if we ignore signs of overload. Be kind to yourself and give yourself praise for what you are doing right 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
