Kicking off this long weekend with Grilled Artichoke for a summery starter.
2 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. flour, 1/4 cup water and 1 full tsp. soup consumé (any you like). Melt butter on medium heat, add flour, stir and add the water and consumé, salt and pepper and mix until smooth for about a minute. Take off heat and add shredded good-quality Parmesan cheese. I steamed the artichokes for about twenty minutes, then sliced in half cleaned out the hairy bits and drizzled olive oil, and sprinkled salt and pepper and squeezed some fresh lemon juice. Placed on grill until outside of artichoke blackens slightly. #soletseat#artichoke#grill
Happy #smallfactfriday ! Water is so important for your body, it keeps so many things in your body going. A lot of us know this, but it's not always clear how much you should drink. The whole 8 glasses a day thing isn't really a guideline to follow. How much you drink is based on you, not some arbitrary number.
So, to really find out how much you should drink, take your weight and divide it in half. That number is the base amount of water you should be drinking in ounces. If you're more active, you'll need to add more water because you're sweating more out in your daily activity than a more sedentary person.
How much water are you drinking? What's your number based on you? .

Magnesium smoothies in proud collaboration with @bodystorecom 💪🏻💜 Magnesium is a powerful mineral and it plays a super important role in our bodies! 💪🏻 And it’s especially important if you're struggling with PMS, with symptoms like migraines, irritability, low mood, and cramps 😣🙁
Magnesium works in our bodies to support blood sugar balance, hormonal balance and healthy adrenals. It also helps to maintain the pH of the body and is necessary for proper nerve conduction, relaxing of muscles, for tissue growth and more... So you want to make sure you get enough of the stuff right? 👍🏻
That’s why I created this smoothie recipe with some of the most magnesium rich foods out there, like almonds, tahini, spinach, avocado, banana and cacao. Most products used are available @bodystorecom And, if you fancy, more magnesium facts can be found in my blog archives. Link in bio! 👆🏻 I hope everyone has a gorgeous day ahead! Styling inspired by @alison__wu 😘 #WellAndVibrant#bodystorecom
MAGNESIUM SMOOTHIES (makes 2)
2 cups homemade almond milk (I use @biofoodsverige organic almonds)
2 Tbsp @kungmarkatta1983 tahini
2-3 soft dates, pitted
2 avocados, frozen
½ green banana, frozen
pinch of sea salt
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Divide the batter in three and flavor/dye them with cacao for brown layer, spinach for green layer (blend again) and butterfly pea powder for blue layer. Aaaand then top it with roughly chopped @superfruit_com raw chocolate almonds – yum! 🍫🤤
TIP! You don’t have to bother making a layered smoothie – you can simply blend everything (although the color won’t be as pretty ☺️)! .
In honor of Olive’s name( check out this week's blog- link in bio ☺️) , I’m happy to share this remarkably elegant recipe for roasted olives—finger food at it’s finest. They seem so exotic, their brininess replaced by a sweet flavor heightened by the oven’s heat, but couldn’t be easier! I’ve surrounded the olives with garlic, fennel seeds, rosemary, red pepper flakes, and Meyer lemon. You’re not going to find anything like this at a supermarket olive bar.

Toasting HELLO to the long weekend and GOODBYE to blood orange season! 👋🥂
This BLOOD ORANGE CARDAMOM MOCKTAIL 🍊 is yet another copycat recipe from @innatlittlewash. We barely caught this bad boy the night before they switched to their new spring menu, and BOY are we glad we did! The citrus/cardamom mix makes this the perfect thing to sip on in those months where it’s 90 one day and 60 the next and you’re not sure whether to wear sundresses and sweaters! Anyone else have that problem from like...March to May?🤷🏻♀️🙋♀️ Luckily, I think we’re safely in swimsuit season now 👙 so run to your grocery store or #farmersmarket , grab the last blood oranges of the season, and drink up! 🍹
DO IT: In a shaker, mix juice from 3 large blood oranges with 1/2 ground cardamom and a splash of orange juice. (The OJ is to taste - it will sweeten the drink for you.) Divide between two glasses. Top with your choice of bubbly — I’ve used plain sparkling water and both lime and tangerine @lacroixwater, all are delicious! Full disclosure, I haven’t tried this with champagne, but I’m sure it’s delicious. 😋 If using champagne, add the OJ last, as the bubbly will sweeten it quite a bit on its own...you might not need the juice at all.
CHEERS! I hope you all a safe and fun #memorialdayweekend ! 🍾
Totally not eating seasonally this morning with this yoghurt bowl and frozen berries. My solution is usually just to have a hot tea afterwards to warm myself up 😂⠀
I don't really have anything else witty to add. Any suggestions please add below 😜
when you open a beautifully ripe avocado & you’re just plain smitten with mother nature in all her glory #🥑 happy holiday weekend to all of you! HAVE FUN, ENJOY YOUR FOOD, BE SAFE ✌🏻#nurturingbodyandmind
