It should come as no surprise to those who know him well; that, Alex's contribution provoked some of the most stimulating conversations that the project has recorded thus far. Quietly, and at times unnervingly, composed, this homeschooled son of two strong female role models has developed a keen insight into what I deem to be a nearly-flawless recipe for success. With a Holmes-ian deductive might and Rand-ian level of pragmatism, Alex has already defied all expectations in very short order. Be it in regards to law, accountancy, management, or wherever else the wind is sure to blow him, the biggest mistake one could possibly make would be to walk away from this episode feeling like they know this brilliant young man's upper limit.

Everything must go! Operators are standing by! Do not miss this almost golden coin commemorating an almost momentous Nobel worthy peace train. Ok, we could be at the precipice but you will be comforted by this thing, you will! For... how about $9.95?
Has anyone else read this article in #theatlantic ? This would be a fabulous journal club discussion piece - I basically read the whole thing out loud to my husband (to his utter enjoyment ...not) AND grabbed a pen to mark it up. We hear a lot about the 1% but Stewart writes a convincing argument for the top 10% as a new aristocracy. For instance, did you know that British aristocrats were historically much taller than the average man? Similar health and physical differences exist between the 10% and the 90% (especially the further from the top 10% that a person gets).

I feel truly fortunate to have the honor of calling @rigatommy, my friend. He is one of a kind and I wouldn't want it any other way. I look up to him in so many ways. He is a provider, a father, a husband, an adventure, a corky goofball, selfless friend, and so so so much more. If you ever get the chance to shake his hand... Never wash it. This is a throwback to Rocklands two years ago when Tommy and I decided to take a dip in the winter on the western coast of South Africa before probably the best Seafood meal ever. Happy Birthday, Tommy. You're one of the best!
THE AGGREGATE: THE PROMISE OF PSYCHEDELIC DRUGS, AND THE DARK SIDE OF BIRD SCOOTERS /// This is one of the most fascinating, potentially important pieces I have stumbled upon in a while. Michael Pollan’s story, which was published on May 15th in The New York Times Magazine, is an extensive retelling of his experiences with the men and women who have secretly continued administering psychedelic drugs— psilocybin, LSD, and MDMA, to name a few— for therapeutic purposes, essentially since the downfall of 1960s counterculture; as well as the legal crackdown on hallucinogenic drugs that followed shortly thereafter. /// Read more on Control Forever.--
Your iPhone battery may be getting a major power-up soon. Implanted technology could soon be powering devices ranging from smartphones to heart rate monitors and pacemakers, which up until now relied solely on battery power. MIT scientist and engineer Canan Dagdeviren is designing machines that use the human body as its own source of energy—called Piezoelectricity—by harvesting, converting and storing energy from motions of the heart, lung and diaphragm. via 📰 #theatlantic .
