Technique over weight! Make sure you contract from the bottom fibres, right up to the very top ones. Slower may hurt more, but that's the feeling that it's working 💪🏼🙌🏼

Anyone who knows me knows that I hate deadlifts and that I struggle a lot with my lower back when I do heavy or multiple deadlifts. Not necessarily due to bad technique but it's always good to take a look at what you're doing and make sure that you do it right!

So we changed my stance to be more narrow and let my body tight, lats flared until I finished the rep

My back felt amazing, no pain, no aches, even during the workout after 🏋🏻♀️

Kettlebell swings appear in the challenge for next month.
Here are the top tips to help you:
1. This is a hip hinge exercise, it requires a thrusting motion, this movement will help push the kettlebell up to eye height
2. Ensure your core and glutes are engaged and activated for every swing
3. Shoulders down and keep your chest up and your back straight
Too easy? No worries Nat has thought of that. The double kettlebell swing, all the same rules apply. Be sure to start on light weights if you haven’t tried this exercise before.

It’s been a while since I’ve done bag work, so I’m a bit rusty and this was the 8th round of 10 (so I was pretty tired 😜).
It’s so important to incorporate bag work into your training, it’s a great way to work power endurance. You also work on technique without being told what to do, so you practice combinations and punches yourself that you have done on pads, which is what you do when your fighting.
A coach can guide you but essentially you are in that ring alone and need to practice on your own as well as pad work with your coach, or in classes.
PLUS, it’s a great way to let off steam and stress (so I needed this today).
