Sometimes I am just so happy for the simplest little things. Today it started with one of my daughters surprising another with a picnic lunch. After it was kids and four square in the driveway. Then it was boys playing hoops together. Then it was was sidewalk chalk. Then it was watching my hubby relax on the front porch swing after he had whipped the outside of our house into shape. Then it was an egg hunt (don’t judge, it’s normal around here). It’s hard to remember the days when these things that I love still could not produce the feeling of joy deep down. I’m so glad those days are behind me and I’m so thankful for my Plexus products, which healed me from the gut out. I feel so blessed to feel joy. Moving can be stressful.. now add on a full time job, ruck training, an axious dog and only 2 days to do it all. Felt like I was getting ripped in so many directions and everything was only get half done. There were tears shed and anxiety high. Today I decided to take a break and go to yoga. It was exactly what i needed to relax so I could refocus and go into the next week feeling ready and not stressed. Salmon is my favorite meat to eat in the whole world. However, everytime I cook it, it comes out dry and disgusting because it's wild caught. I only get it at restaurants. But the salmon they serve at restaurants is farm raised which is why it's so thick and juicy and doesn't come out dry 😞
BUT!!!!!! I DID IT! I made this salmon in foil with sauteed onions and herbs. I cooked it at 400° for 8 minutes. Then served it with sauteed bok choy with fresh garlic and shrimp. Fastest most delicious meal in the world and I have leftovers 👐 SCORE!

For the past 2 weeks I've been feeling down about coming up to my Hawaii trip & my body not being 100% where I wanted it to be - I became quite down & even fell off the grind. I came to a point where my mindset had turned to "fcuk it - what's the point anymore I'm not going to get where I need to be in the space of 2 weeks" and so I found myself heading back into eating bad & decreasing my training massively. I found myself going back into my "old habits" , Feeling upset and self conscious, and not feeling the sense of happiness at I had spent the last year working my 🍑 off to build.
And then I realised one thing this morning - YES - I'm not where I had planned to be for this trip - but IM DEFINITELY not where I was a year ago or where I had been for the past 3 years .. at that moment I received a message for a very VERY wise man and it said " Remember the most difficult and painful experiences are the things that give you honour, strength and wisdom " and that confirmed even more the following -
In life it isn't the scenarios or circumstances that we face that mould us - but the actions and steps we take that determine the character we become. In moments of weakness we can't make a decision based on the situation we find ourselves in at that small moment of our life - but we must step back - acknowledge how far we've come from the past - the pain and challenges we've endured & look at the possibilities of the future.
Thanks to my numero uno , my ride or die (my Dad) never ceases to amaze me how you always come to my rescue without me needing to say anything 💙

Lately I have felt like the medical world is starting to fail me. So until I start getting answers, I have to take my health in to my own hands and do all that I can possibly do to make my body as well as it can possibly be while attempting to halt it from worsening. First things first, major diet changes. Although for the last 3 years I've made changes needed for weight loss, now I am making changes to try and take control of a disorder that's had its control over me. After tons of research I was able to compile the best foods and supplements and lifestyle changes for my best chance at making a difference for myself and those around me. No dairy. No red meat. No gluten. No soy. No processed foods. Straight clean eating. Organic when possible. More movement, exercise! And although grocery shopping the other day was probably the most frustrating and time consuming, expensive shopping trip I've made, ever, it is necessity! And it will get better! This is not a choice I want to have to make because I love foods, and eating every thing! But I love me more. And I'm tired of exhaustion and pain and inflammation and issues. And I'm tired of not being helped by the very people who make it their lives career to "help" people. If you struggle with this horrible disorder, you are not alone! People around you will not always understand or even try to. But do what you gotta do to live happy & healthy! I thank my husband a million times a day for his patience and encouragement through all we go through. It never ceases to amaze me how many health benefits fresh fruits and vegetables provide. If we lived in such a way that we looked to real, natural food to fuel us and heal our ailments, I believe there would be a revolution of health and wellness in the world. Mother Nature put the medicine inside the foods our body needs. 🌱🌎
It's effective in treating Alzheimer's and Huntington's disease. 😲It aids in curing epilepsy and urinary tract infections.😲 And that's just a start. 🤓
This side dish of asparagus started out fresh and then steamed until a soft yet slight crunch to it. I topped with raisins and chopped walnuts and @newmansown Lite Balsamic Vinagrette. It was perfectly sweet and tangy and full of nourishing vitamins and nutrients. 😊 🌱🌎
On this Earth Day, I encourage you to look to your local farmers markets and whole health stores and purchase food that comes directly from our Earth.

Being an only child you learn to be okay with being alone. The weight of the entire world can be on your shoulders and it’s okay because you have never had someone else to carry some of that weight. It is all you know or have ever known. Your strength sometimes threatens others who are used to sharing their load, and you are sometimes jealous of them. I can honestly say that throughout the last 5 years ... I have taken my life back. I have the life I dreamed about. I have the life I worked hard for! I still work hard ... every day ... but the last 5 years ... I have loved my family first. Taken care of myself first. And have built awesome relationships. I am so blessed to be able to spend each day doing what I love. 5 years ago, I was tired. I was depressed. I had a beautiful family, but something was missing. I decided to change my life. I didn’t want to look back and say “I wish”. God and family first. Then helping other women create the life they want is my passion.
