24 was that arbitrary age in my 20s that I picked when I was like 13 or something, where I thought I’d maybe not have my life together, but I’d be on a path and track to doing something amazing and meaningful with my life. Of course way before I even got to my 20s I realized the hilarious absurdity of that goal but still, the age 24 has always stuck in my head and now that I turned 24 today (something I was dreading), I feel more okay with it than I thought I would and I know that I am still very young. I have to say, I do have some things going for me but this was my first birthday away from home and I feel homesick and guilty and I miss my family and I miss my cat and I cried at my job here for the first time today in front of all the customers and my coworkers. On the bright side though, my mom sent me this beautiful necklace that her coworker made! I’m also living with my best friend since middle school and I have a lot to be thankful for and I’m still trying. Plus we just finished the season 3 finale of #themagicians so there’s that too. #growingup#timemarcheson#resturantjobs#20s#adults#beinganadult#adulting#becominganadult#homesick#cryingatwork#birthday#24thbirthday#goldenbirthday#tahitianpearls#tahitianpearl#pearls#blackpearls#blackpearl#pearlnecklace#necklace#birthdaygift
