It’s been about 6 months since I switched to the curly girl method and I am so obsessed with my results so far 😍 LIKE LOOK AT THOSE CURLS MAN!! Here’s my current @devacurl routine:
•wash with #nopoo to gently clean hair and maintain moisture •condition with #onecondition and finger detangle with soaking wet hair to evenly distribute conditioner and rinse (with cold water to seal hair cuticle)
•apply about two quarter sized amounts of #bleavein using the praying hands method to lay a foundation of moisture and frizz control, plus it gives the curls a little plump boost •apply a dime sized amount of #supercream using the praying hands method •SCRUNCH TO ENCOURAGE CURL FORMATION 🗣 •and finally, scrunch with #devatowel to remove excess water and product
I let my hair air dry and it normally takes 4-5 hours so I just hang out and do puzzles until then 😂

bun with curly bangs to run errands before washing my hair today. Just pushed my hair up into a bun and refreshed my bangs with a spray bottle (mixed w. water + conditioner) and @devacurl #supercream love doing this on older hair so it can have some more volume plus a lil frizz never hurt nobody! Jesika’s transformation 🙌🙌🙌 This was Jesika’s first Deva cut, along with a request to remove the teal from her ends and go back to a blonde ombré effect. Here’s the scoop on creative color... Green. Doesn’t. Play. 😂 It is near impossible to remove a green/teal pigment, especially if it has lived in the curls for some time. We gave it a go with a direct dye lifter, and brought it to a paper version, but the hue was still there. We had discussed ALL scenarios before beginning: removing the length with the teal wasn’t an option she was comfortable with (she worked HARD for that length!). Going over the ends with more lightener would have certainly caused irrevocable damage. We settled on a cool milk chocolate tone to keep an element of pop but fully cover the teal (pre-toning with the secret weapon of direct pink color to neutralize 😎). We were quite pleased with the end result having to go to a plan B. The curls look healthy, the shape is RIGHT, and once she grows the ends further down, she can then go blonde again 💜. I haven’t done a hair post in ages. Mostly because I have my go to products and routine (@devacurl no poo, one condition and Supercream and wash and go) and I’ve been saying the same thing for ages, I was getting to sound like a broken record. Yaaaawn! .
I donated all my surplus products to @doorstep_london homeless families project and have put myself in product junkie rehab.

I have hardly been doing anything with my hair #bunlife and I’ve been 100% more focused on community work and on my business and keeping my clients happy. So in doing less with my hair I noticed it’s grown so much, it’s still done it’s thing whilst I’ve let it be. I feel like I’m gonna just leave to do it’s thing for a little while more. It doesn’t always have to be perfectly preened and defined. .
Much like life, when we try to control every aspect of things it can cause resistance and sometimes conflict. Sometimes we just need to relax and go with the flow so we can reflect on where we are at and where we’re heading and just trust that when we stop resisting things will flow as they are meant to. ☺️
I never really used creams on my hair, as they tend to weigh it down BUT now that I’ve tried @devacurl Supercream in combination with @bouncecurl light creme gel I’m in love 😍 this is 1st day hair and I already have volume! Thanks for putting me on this combo girl @hif3licia 💛
My lazy girl wash day lineup + results today. We have packed up and were leaving oregon and headed back east! But basically after a long day of packing I didn't feel like a ton of products, d idnt have time to deep condition, and it was late so I knew I needed my hair to air dry fast. So this is what I chose. I added 1 pump of super cream then curl maker. I added some set it free after I scrunched with a micro fiber towel just because it was there but it's really not necessary. I did rinse most of my conditioner out, scrunched the water out in the shower and then applied my products and scrunched with a microfiber towel. When drying I (gently) flipped my hair from side to side and I ended up falling asleep before my hair was dry but I'm pleased with my results. I still have defined curls minimal frizz and I even got a compliment on my curls this morning! 💚
