I show female entrepreneurs how to pinpoint and eliminate the underlying causes of stress and overwhelm in their life and business, so they can be more focused, feel more productive, and live and work from a place that's incredibly fulfilling! 💯
For my new friends here, my name is Courtney Elmer and I'm an Empowerment Speaker and Stress Coach from New Orleans, Louisiana.
My current obsessions are 1. Being a mom to my adorable son AJ, 2. The StressLESS Guide (my free resource on how to feel calm, clear and more productive in less than 10 minutes) and 3. Dark Chocolate, because a) it will always be an obsession of mine and b) who doesn't need a little daily dark chocolate in their life?!
I have a piece (or 4) every night while sitting with my husband Alan, watching whatever episode of our favorite show(s) happens to be on. (True story.)
I teach barre classes for fun, have a pet rabbit who lives in my office named Mambo (as in Mardi Gras! it's a New Orleans thing y'all), and I adore date nights with my husband, because we're foodies and love to dine out at alllll the classy places here in the city. And because I love to dress up.
Drop me a line and say hello... I'd love to get to know you, friend!
This PB has been a longtime coming. I went into the lift without a real plan and thought why not give it a try... 95kg deadlift and a smug post lift selfie. Of course my lifting theme song helped! #happy#100onthehorizon#healthandfitness
This doesn’t even look like me. I didn’t know who I was, I just knew I needed to be in the fitness world. I needed to help and inspire people. At this point I was a sheep, blindly following what I thought was the only way. As soon as I let go of what I thought I was supposed to be, that’s when I found out who I was meant to be. I’ve been through so much shit since I aimed my sail this direction, and the real lesson of life is that no matter how rough the waters, you can always change your sails. But don’t just dock the boat because of a few rough waves. Especially this past year; giving up would have been the obvious choice, for most, but I’m not most. I’m still here, I’m still kicking life in the ass.
Athletes in offseason, let me kick yours. Moms, aunts, sisters, brothers, dads and uncles... you too. This spring is your time to make those changes and adjust some sails.

Spray tan: top secret
Stress has been a huge part of my adult life and now I am experiencing the effects of that (when life is good and not "feeling"stressed - go figure!!!) so I've been trying to go to yoga.
I still maintain that we MUST make time for ourselves but sometimes life does get in the way and I can't always make it to a class. No problem -we work on finding the solution.
Solution - I attended Cendrine's Home Yoga Practice workshop yesterday so now I understand more about how yoga works and have brought home a few routines.
Next problem - my mornings are already jam packed but that is when I am at my best so how am I going to fit it in?
Solution - I'm going to have my shower in the evenings as part of my wind down routine which means I'll also be better at doing my evening skin care. Win Win.
I am happy to say that I did my first yoga practice at home this morning...now to make it a habit so I do it every day!! Thanks Cendrine

This is what I love about yoga. It allows you to get out of your own head. To think less. Feel more. I know from experience that I carry stress in my body, and the postures are ways not only of releasing that stress, but confronting it, experiencing it, and understanding it. You have to learn to accept it, to live with it, and to let it go. You can apply that to a posture, or a fear, or whatever it is that is standing in the way of being at peace. The postures are one way of understanding these blockages — on the mat we learn to confront, experience, understand, accept, live with, and let go of difficulties of our lives. And in doing so — we learn to live fully; to think less, feel more 💜🙏🏻🕉🕉
