I decided to record SOME #legday stuff today during my workout. Clearly placed my phone wherever 😅 Some of you guys know I'm not big on recording my workouts and you'll always catch me in sweatpants and a hoodie (or tights with a plaid shirt around my waist) 🤷🏼♀️ Before I even start squats or whateva, I start off with hyperextensions and some glute & hip warm ups with my @marksmellybell sling shot hip circle band (kick backs, side kicks, side walks, etc). After my warm up, I went into squats, hamstring curls, leg extensions ... etc. Lots of super setting. Enjoy these small clips! Song: Wake Up by my favorite artist @nfrealmusic 🙏🏼 #fitness#fitlife#athlete#legs#gobletsquats#bulgariansplitsquats#straightlegdeadlifts#markbellslingshot#nyc#motivation#morningworkout
Ohhhhh straight legged (kinda) deadlifts, it's been awhile. 😜
If you want a fun 7am lift try this one.
Sometimes you just gotta grind through the not-so-great early morning lifts and
remind yourself that your deadlift dreams are coming true (or is that just me?😛) and get it done.
Eye of the tiger, right? 🐯🐅
In honor of #humpday 🐫, here is one of my new favorite glute focused workouts. Why have I just now decided to try these?!? I perform straight leg deadlifts on a regular basis, but standing on a bench takes them to a whole new level!! My glutes (and hammies) were on 🔥 half way through my sets. I completed 4 sets of 12 reps at the heaviest weight I could handle without getting pulled down 🤣 With the added height of the bench along with a little distance between the cables and the bench, I could feel a greater focus on my glute muscles than when I perform regular straight leg deadlifts. The key is to really focus on activating and using your glutes to pull the weight back up to the starting position. This is most definitely becoming a regular workout during my glute days and I highly recommend you give them a try 😁👍🏻 #gluteworkout#newfav#glutesonfire#fitfam#fitlife#womenwholift#womenwithmuscles#wonderwoman#bodybuilding#cables#straightlegdeadlifts#bunsofsteel

Hamstrings !! An important muscle group that’s often neglected. Usually on ‘leg day’ people tend to focus so much on there quads and glutes and forget about their hammy’s!! However there are many exercises you can do to train them not just using a machine such as straight leg deadlifts, hamstring curls on a Swiss ball, and also these single straight leg deadlifts! Also good to train your balancing skills 😁
▫️ try with or without weight - if using a weight hold it on the same side as the leg going backwards
▫️ keep the standing leg straight
▫️ keep your back flat at all times
▫️to challenge your balance skills bring your knee up high in front before sending backwards making each rep 1 fluid movement
Happy Wednesday everyone!! 🤗
