One of my favorite parts of Easter always happens on Saturday. I love being a member of the flower guild and working with some of the other ladies to help make the celebration look and smell beautiful. This is the second year I’ve been able to decorate the processional crosses. It was wonderful to enter the church last night for the vigil and smell all the lilies throughout the church. 💐🌹🌸🌺#churchflowers#stpetersepiscopalchurch#chattanooga
Alleluia he is risen! It’s a chilly start to a beautiful day. We look forward to celebrating Easter with you today at 9 and 11:15 am. Don’t forget mite boxes, baskets, and flowers for the cross! #stpetersepiscopalchurch
The sanctuary of St. Peter's Episcopal Church contains a 1925 reredos of Christ's Resurrection and Ascension by Dutch artist Jan van Emple. (reredos: decoration of the wall behind the altar) #stpetersepiscopalchurch#sewardak#reredos
Congratulations to the newly appointed Organist and Choirmaster of #stpetersepiscopalchurch and the Artistic Director of the #stpeterschoirschool Ms. Elizabeth Lenti. Congratulations also to Ben Outen as he vacates those posts for his next adventure at #christchurchepiscopal in Charlotte. We look forward to finding out where Ms. Lenti can take us in what we hope will be her 25 year tenure. First up: #stalbanscathedral in a month!

For @jenicaf6 ... These are the 2 oldest headstones at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lewes, Delaware, founded in 1681. (I keep calling it St. James... it's St. Peter's). The first one is Margaret Huling, Born in 1631, Died in 1707. The second also belongs to the Huling family but, due to the damage, you cannot read the whole inscription but, the year of death is visible and it reads 1708. #StPetersEpiscopalChurch#LewesDelaware#Cemetery#Churchyard#Gravestones#Headstones
