Spent 3 hours waiting at my university's health services today (aka went to the doctor's office). After finally seeing me, they kind of just brushed off my concerns about my health so that's cool. They also messed up when drawing my blood, then took twice the amount they needed (it actually surprised me how much they took). Also now the lightest I've been since high school, and really not happy about it. With all that being said, sets of 7 @ 295 moved decently well despite almost passing out. Side note, shout out to the people who actually read these rants

Regionals training...challenging in every aspect, but man am I enjoying the rewards! It’s been over a year since hitting this weight, mainly because I was scared my wrist couldn’t handle it anymore. Bench doubles and singles 135lbs x 2, 140lbs x 1 @ RPE 7
I recently switched the type of bench I use and it seems to have had an effect on how tight and can stay and how much leg drive I can[t] use without my butt coming up. I’m used to a more narrow bench which was more comfortable for me since I’m a narrow person in build. I was able to arch more and get my feet under me more therefore I could stay tighter and use more leg drive...aka I could cheat more. 🙃
Anyway, getting used to this more comp specific bench (super wide) has been a struggle but I still gotta keep pushin weight. 6 weeks out 😳😳😳

It’s pretty simple: what makes Keto so wonderful and money making (for the coaches who promote it) is the fast initial weight loss related to the carbohydrate reduction. Each gram of carbs retains 2.4-3g of water per actual gram of carb, so reducing carbohydrate intake results in a drop in bodyweight. Chillax though, it’s just water: you’re just as fat as you were before, but because you’ve reduced your carb intake, you’re simply NOT retaining as much water as you previously did. However, you see your weight go down so quick so you’re placebo-ly happy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

#totd : Butt back first. I don’t care what type of back squat. It has to be hip joint breaks and then knee joint breaks. When the hips break back first it engages the hamstrings to be ready for battle. When you break knees forward first, you might be more upright but your hammies will have pure jiggle and no tension at all. When you break knees first and remain nice and upright, there’s always that one squat that tips you forward because there is no hinging muscles holding your torso up. It must be butt back first even if it’s the slightest angle. Let out the biggest burp after my third rep on deadlift. Eating too many foods high on the FODMAP. Getting chubby, I think I’m 168 lbs??? Was 145 two months ago 🤫
The numbers keep dropping and my motivation keeps increasing. Nice to have some concrete numbers to keep me on track. One more 15s match this weekend and then it’s time to shift focus to 7s. Time for endless sprinting. Sounds wonderful. Can’t wait.
