The Friends of Manito presents, Pollinator Experience! This is a fun and educational event for the whole family! Join us June 16th, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Manito Meeting Room, east of Gaiser Conservatory at Manito Park. Learn why much of the food we eat, is made possible by insect pollinators. Kids will have the opportunity to make several pollinator crafts. Adults can have fun making a bee hotel. The Inland Bee Association will have an observation honey bee hive on display to view bee eggs, larva, brood and possibly the queen bee up close. Mobius will have cases of butterflies and other pollinators from their insect collection and a microscope for closer observation of insects. Purchase pollinator host plants and nectar plants.
A donation of $5 is suggested. For more information please visit www.thefriendsofmanito.org. Image: Plant Sale Manager, Janis Saiki.
do you guys realize we could literally change our lives at any time we want?
Like you could just go ahead & delete all your social media, start running, tell the person you hate why you can’t stand them, shave your head bald, take a solo road trip to another state, kiss someone out of the blue... why don’t we do more of that?
