Restaurant #3 : China Xiang at 360 W 42nd st.
Many people ask me what's my favorite Chinese spot in the city since I am from China, but to be honest New York disappoints me in terms of Chinese food (LA wins it easily), but China Xiang is my go-to place. If you like authentic Chinese food, especially spicy food from Szechuan (it's really "SiChuan" but hey), China Xiang will do the job. I've tried many items on the menu and my experience has been fantastic. Fast service, tasty food and no tips. Just do me a favor and do not order orange chicken, wonton soup or beef and broccoli when you are there; their existence is a disgrace to authentic Chinese food and you can pay $5 at local takeout place in your neighborhood.

If you are looking for inspiration on where to eat with your group of friends this weekend, you can try @sichuankungfufishsg I enjoyed my dinner there. The cod was tender, soft and flavourful. The trick is to select the right spicy level if not you might find it too mild or too spicy. For the full review of my experience visit my blog!
