Can you believe I will be 3 in 2 months?! Time flies when your having fun 😀
We’ve gotten lots of questions about speech and development lately and want to address it!
Jaxson will be doing speech therapy for the next few months under EI (Early Intervention) since he still qualifies. But we will not be continuing services once he is 3....meaning no IEP! Yes Jaxson is slightly delayed in SOME areas of development, mostly communication, however we are going to see how he does with being in school and other children his age- while still working with him at home. -
This wasn’t the easiest decision BUT after much talking and prayer we we feel it’s best for our family. Last week’s evaluation really took a toll on us emotionally. (Mom took it pretty hard) Since moving, Jaxson has done very well and is progressing greatly. In due time Jaxson’s development will match his age. He was born at 22 weeks which is 17 weeks EARLY! So rightfully so, it will take more time and we are ok with that. We see so much potential in him! -
We know AND believe that God has a plan for our little miracle! His future is pretty bright! Thanks for always supporting our family! We love you!!

My son's ATEC score just dropped 33% in less than 2 months getting the Autism Therapy help he needs!! 👏👏 The ATEC is a Treatment Evaluation Checklist autism parents can use to evaluate current therapies and protocols. Simon is having HUGE Social gains being in an autism specific school with just 3 other kids.
He is learning to Share, Show, be Funny and be Sorry. ❤️❤️I could Cry.
So Thankful for #maximumchances#journeylearningcenter#ottherapy#speechtherapy#sensoryplay#sensoryneeds being met!

I realized that I have spent a lot of time focusing on standards he is not meeting yet. Every appointment, every class, every session ending in a unique set of worries. It's pretty draining and totally pointless. This kid can do so much and I'm over here worrying about little things he can't. I've decided I'm done with all that.
If we focus on the wrong things, so will they. It's a heavy responsibility and we will mess up... often but giving them the gift of positive, strength based self awareness is going to change their life.#childdevelopment#mindsetshift#strengthfinder#spd#speechdelay#strongwilledchild
