Have you ever dreamt of going to space? Nowadays, it's not necessarily out of the question. Leading the way in the budding age of space tourism, Stephen Attenborough, commercial director of Virgin Galactic, took to the stage at The Superyacht Design Symposium 2018 to speak about the future of this highly ambitious industry. Another part of many on my next project #atlas#spacedrone#drone for #Mars mission. Loaded with all the high-tech sensors, drones power supply needs to be as advanced to ensure reliability and best flight-time. Graphene-polymer high-energy batteries may be the answer. With 1/3 of the weigh of a normal Li-ion batteries, 4 times the energy density and recharge speed up to 33x faster than the best Li-ion batteries. More soon! #klauzura#umprum#jakubmendel @atelier.prumyslovy.design #spaceexpedition

Every #sunrise has a unique beauty. And now we know that it's true, because aboard the ISS we meet 16 sunrises a day. And from tomorrow we will see sunrise only once a day. So, Earth, are you ready to meet us?

Cygnus cargo spacecraft arrived at the International Space Station (@iss) on Tuesday to deliver fresh food, supplies, and science experiment gear to the Expedition 53 astronauts. With Thanksgiving Day and Christmas on its way, also goodies were included in the shipment. A special delivery of chocolate and vanilla 🍦 and make-your-own flatbread 🍕 made their way to the six astronauts aboard.

Besides the goodies, some not as attractive things were shipped aboard. Amongst others, a type of bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, was shipped to the ISS so medical researchers can investigate new drugs and therapies for a variety of skin infections that range from acne to dangerous antibiotic-resistant staph infections. 📸: @nasa #spacenation
These amazing visuals of the earth were captured by Blake Bronstad (@posesawkwardly) in Carpenteria, CA⭐️ We love how the landscape yet again resembles something from outer space. #spacenation

You know what else looks blue? Neptune appears blue due to its methane clouds absorbing the red end of the spectrum of light reflected from the Sun. Methane absorbs light at 600nm, which is the red end of the spectrum of the visible light. 🔷🔵🔹
Väinö the border terrier is one of the fluffy faces we have had visiting Space Nation headquarters. He even got his picture up on our wall. These best friends do brighten up even the grayest of Mondays!🐶

Did you know that the very first animal in orbit was a dog? A rescue dog called Laika, off the streets of Moscow, was aboard Sputnik 2 in 1957. The story of Laika is not a happy one, but his name will remain in the history books forever💙 #spacenation
Throwback to Astronaut Kathryn C. Thornton working on servicing chores on the Hubble Space Telescope #HST . The telescope was named after astronomer Edwin Hubble, and it was launched in April 1990. Hubble takes pictures of stars, planets and galaxies while whirling around Earth.🌍 #spacenation#spacecitizen 📸: @nasa
This is the smooth landing of Astronauts Peggy Whitson, Jack Fischer and Cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin back to Earth from the ISS in September👏🏼 📷: @iss .

The Soyuz MS-04 spacecraft scattered the dust on Kazakhstan soil in approximately 3.5 hours. At the age of 57, Peggy Whitson, became NASA’s most experienced astronaut with a record breaking 665 days in space. Whitson worked as a NASA scientist before her astronaut career and continued the work on the ISS. She conducted multiple experiments such as ones related to human stem cells, blood samples and even growing crops. These experiments are important when it comes down to the future of humans in space and they are a part of the everyday life of astronauts. #spacenation
A photo illustration by @NASAGoddard of an explosion called kilonova, taking place 130 million light-years away. NASA announced a discovery on Tuesday regarding gravitational wave detection. Two spiraling neutron stars merged together and the gamma-ray burst created in the merger was then detected by NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope. 🚀💥
Why is this discovery important? For one, scientists believe this is how gold, lead, platinum and other heavy elements in the universe were created. Now this reaction can be closer examined. #spacenation
#nationalairandspacemuseum#discovery#spaceshuttle#washington#dc#spaceexpedition
Terraforming Mars - Play as one of many giant corporations from Earth. You and your rival corporations are tasked with making Mars habitable by increasing the global temperature, oxygen levels, and ocean area. Use various action cards (from building infrastructure, adding flora and fauna, dropping nukes and/or asteroids, etc) coupled with a plethora of resources at your disposal to help you achieve this goal. The future of the human race depends on you! #boardgame#gamenight#terraformingmars#resourcemanagement#strategy#spaceexpedition#theredplanetisours
