April 24, 1990. 28 years ago. Space Shuttle Discovery blasts off from Cape Canaveral, Florida carrying the Hubble Space Telescope. After gliding into the proper elevation for release, the cargo bays opened and the massive unmanned telescope detached into orbit. The main feature of the telescope was going to be it's crystal clear images of the universe around us but unfortunatley a fabrication error meant that the original photographs on the telescope were blurry.
