Our reserve red is called Devil’s Three Jump after a historic roadbed that runs along the property line of historic White Plains separating Hanover County from New Kent County. This unusual name describes the property’s rolling topography that in centuries past merchants and tradesmen traced hustling goods to and from the Pamunkey River and market. In Surrey, England, Devil’s Three Jumps became associated with three hills in a row. Legend has it that the Devil used to amuse himself by leaping from the top of one to the next. This activity annoyed the God “Thor” who picked up a boulder and threw it at the Devil, causing him to flee leaving the boulder at the Devil’s Jumps.
The symbolic three hills represent our wine’s perfect blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Tannat (20%), and Petit Verdot (20%). 🍷

Some things you should have under your belt before moving into this variation:
1) complete #pilates leg changes on the mat in without losing neutral position (i.e. you no longer rely on imprint, ball or straps to stabilize your pelvis while legs are moving)
2) #jackknife variations in the gym. Know the difference between flailing your legs around with resulting back pain versus a well-controlled leg lower/lift
3) Be working on something extended: a jazz layout, #ballet penche, #gymnastics wheel/yoga bridge, yoga #dancerspose , weighted #SLDL , surf pop-up, or have your Friday-night dance partner dip you

Part of this week project: 10 liter barrels, the staves are waiting for side jointing, barrel-building, bending, toasting etc.... The material is oak and we got some plum wood (reddish brown color wood)
