Wow!!! @brenebrown I am soooooo in my midlife ‘unravelling’!!! ANYONE ELSE WITH ME ??? 😀 I’m taking that armour off. Unravelling and enduring rebirth. Thinking perhaps I’m not going mad after all!!! 😉😜😘 ‘There are only two choices, staying down or enduring rebirth’. 🙌🏼 ‘Enduring’ is the perfect word for it. It’s hard work. Many can’t do it I believe. ‘By definition, you can’t control or manage unravelling’ 🙌🏼 ‘It’s time to show up and be seen’ 👊🏻
Switching to package free beauty and body products. Slowly but surely. Mascara, eyeliner and conditioner is still one of the hardest products to find without plastic packaging. Please let me know if have favorite brands with eco friendly packaging.
Isn’t he the greatest? My guy?!?! Seriously. We went on a date a few weeks back. A date! An honest to goodness date. It’s almost as rare as a unicorn. I never that we’d be *that* couple. Oh judgmental younger Julia. How little about true life you knew. How very much you thought you knew. (anyone else ride the judgey train before they woke up to real life?) Life is hard. Marriage is hard. Kids are hard. Mix them all together and they are one large shit salad. (dressing on the side). Damn if it isn’t easy to get caught up in the regret and comparison games. I’m making a different choice (a spiritual practice, if you will) I am choosing gratitude today. I am grateful for a spouse who advocates for our marriage. I am grateful for a relationship that finds time together in the midst of all of the mess. I am grateful for a relationship that defines romance beyond IG perfect. I am grateful to spend this crazy, busy, hectic life together. It’s your turn - where is your gratitude moment today - ya know, the thing you could be grouchy about but that you choose to see differently. Change your perspective.
Came home to such a sweet surprise
Reveived this amazing little gift plus chocolates (not in the picture)because i reached this amazing goal in my business
People make their comments all the time
...what i do is fake... its a scam... or my favorite its a pyramid scheme... but when i ask those same people what a pyramid scheme they have no clue 🤦♀️ I get it this is a different way of doing business but if you know me... you know i would not be part of something where the end result has a negative impact on people
I do this because the point of it is to serve others, to help other's be their best self, to be of inspiration and show as a mom you can be healthy fit and be your own CEO. This gig of mine i work in the oddest of times has given me purpose, fullfillment, and mental freedom
And now i also have this tribe of girls i called my besties that support each other and are there for the ups and downs of it all. I actually think its the best part, surrounding yourself with people like you chasing after huge dreams
Less than a month to be reunited with them all and i cannot wait to laugh drink and mastermind together
P.S Mya and i totally ate half the chocolates
P.S.S looking for 3 girls to join in the fun. Link in bio 😙
I feel like I spend my days telling this sweet face "no" in some shape or form.
"Don't climb on that!"
"No more treats!"
"Not right now!"
"Maybe after dinner." .
So this morning when she asked "please, may I have some cake?" I felt she needed a yes, so we made cake.
It's hard being two, and sometimes you need mom to say yes to cake, and let you lick the beaters. .
i’ve chatted a bit about ethical fashion on here before. it’s something for the majority of my life, i never thought about. but, once i started thinking about it, it became really hard to stop. like, thinking about a child, only a few years older (or not even) than my son, making clothes in a sweatshop, it’s heartbreaking. even still, it took me a while to get used to the idea that good quality, sustainable garments, cost more. i started following @thegarmentlife a few years ago, and it’s such an amazing resource. most of the time it seems like everyone on instagram is trying to sell you something, and while @thegarmentlife does receive a portion of each sale during their pop-up sales, a) they are transparent about it, and b) they’re not pushy. if you don’t want it or need it or can’t afford, then don’t buy it!
BUT if you do have gaps in your wardrobe and are looking for responsibly made garments, this is the place to be. i’ve made several purchases over the last year, and they are the things i wear again and again and again (and reluctantly put in the wash). this travel pop-up, i WANT everything, but what i’m getting: a bathing suit, and an oversized boyfriend shirt - both have been on my list for ages.
although the dressy sweatpants and boxy tee’s and striped shirts and clogs and everything really are giving me all the heart eyes… i don’t need them. so i’m saying no and that feels good too! anyway, if you want to participate in this pop-up sale (ends today), use the code COMMUNITY10 for 10% off any of the featured pieces.
PS this is not an ad. 💗
