🔹#Shinkansen to #Tokyo
We use the 7 day #RailwayPass for transportation from now on. From Nara we went to Kyoto. I dunno if that was because of the rain, but I never before heard the speaker informing to not forget personal belongings in train, such as umbrellas. Man, they're so considerate! A train clerk entered the car, bowed with his hands connected in front, walked through while announcing a station the speaker didn't, with such kindness I felt valued like I was a king. Reaching the opposite door, he turned and did the same again before leaving to the next. The Japanese didn't even look at him, so I guess that's routine, but for me it felt like another world.
Later we took the Shinkansen to #Tokyo . Meeting other Germans at the platform showed how much I enjoy not being around germans xD The first thought I had was 'please don't sit with us in the train, I don't wanna hear German here' Next I noticed the Japanese built a neat row, calm and silent entered the train while the foreigners gathered in a messy mass, rushing and shoving themselves through the door. It was painful to see somehow, how rude we really are towards each other, and how much more gentle and considerate a society is with respect and kindness as their key values. Like a slap of reality. I enjoyed and kind of adapted this all so natural kindness to a point that this scene genuinely shocked me. I was embarrassed for the behavior of us foreigners.
It's funny how travelers in Edo Jidai spent a month or two to travel #Tokaido , and nowadays we make the distance in 4 hours. They sure had a lot more experiences on their trip tho. The train rushed through a beautiful landscape of forest covered mountais and fog patches, past rivers, small villages, wide fields of rice patties. 🚈⛅☔

Shinkansen Jepang. :
Tokyo menjadi tempat terakhir kami di Jepang. Tiba langsung ke Osaka. Mendapat kesempatan menjajal kereta cepat Shinkansen Hikari atau Sakura dari Tokyo ke Osaka. Kereta cepat 250-300 KM/ Jam. Dan waktu sekitar 2 jam 30 an menit. Gak bisa naik Nozomi yg 350-400 KM/jam. #shinkansen#hikari#japan#happiness
#thekwanstravel#japan 🇯🇵 Part 1/7 - #kokura#kitakyushu : Landed in #hiroshima early morning and rushed straight to #Shinkansen bound for kokura. Managed to visit #kawachifujien after much ordeal - Super ulu. Apparently, you have to purchase the ticket from Japan 7/11 or Family Mart in advance. Thanks to @polaris07 who helped me get the tickets while she was in Japan the week before. Since we only had one day in kokura, we tried to cover as much as possible, including #kokuracastle#riverwalk mall. Love this quaint little city. #throwback
