There has been a protest in the building of the Polish parliament for nearly 40 days now. Mothers and their children with disabilities are fighting for their rights to live in proper conditions and all they really want is 500 zlotys a month (125 Euro). The prime minister visited them once and refused to help. The president offered them more free diapers. The politicians of the ruling party keep on humiliating them and stating that the whole protest is of political background. Two days ago, the mothers tried to hang out a banner out of the Parliament window for the guests of the NATO summit to know about what is happening, but they were prevented by the Parliament guards in an agressive manner. I believe the world needs to hear about it all, the world needs to know about the situation of people with disabilities here, who are deprived of nearly any help which should be provided by the state, who are isolated and humbled in many ways. But the world also needs to know about the way Poland is ruled today. The ruling party knows no boundaries, they use force against most defenceless group of people I can imagine - people with disabilities. Not only do they refuse to help, they try to break this people, mentally and physically. We, the people of Poland stand united with the Protesters, but we need attention from around the globe to make this protest loud, to make it seen and heard worldwide. So please, share this message, make it spread to every corner of every continent.
Let's stop the cruelty that is dressed in formal suits of the PiS politicians.

This one is in trouble (the dog that is, not Claire!) my son didn’t fancy doing parkrun this morning so said he’d walk the dog around the park as we ran so we put her in the back of my BRAND NEW car and when arrived at parkrun discovered she thrown up all over the boot! Luckily I had put a blanket down but couldn’t leave it which ended up in us being late for parkrun 😱😱😱
We were walking up to the start when the runners came storming down, we didn’t know what to do so carried on walking up until we got the back runners and joined in! Hope we were okay doing this, we weren’t sure of the protocol - we were only about 50m away from the start when we joined the back so hoping we aren’t in trouble! It was strange being at the back but I really enjoyed overtaking nearly 300 runners, it made me feel really fast 😂 fiona
I live life,
in a hollow
taunt like an echo
but constantly in my mind’s eye
Wish they didn’t happen,
wish I could press rewind
Wish someone would come get me, free me, unloose
Wish that what happened to me wasn’t so taboo
Wish my story wouldn’t be misconstrued
Wish the world would just swallow my sad bitter truth
Truth is, I’m absent
Don’t live life in the present
For my present was torn open and stolen from me
My wrapping paper shredded to a million pieces
Chucked and tossed
Thrown about and lost
Scattered around like confetti
Confetti taking a life time to fall to the ground
Fallen is my spirit
Desecrated is my art
Weary is my soul
Broken is my heart
My back is bent over
from carrying blame
Heavy from the guilt
Heavy from the shame
Shame that never leaves
Shame that no one sees
Shame keeping me on my knees
Lord please .
set me free

Congratulations to Ireland for voting to overturn their strict abortion law. Now, women can be free to choose for themselves instead of having laws forced upon them by the government. Safe, legalized abortions are essential to every democracy in the world because it gives women control over themselves. It is an issue that is ABSOLUTELY nobody's business, especially the government's!
Here in the United States, we have our own problems. The 1973 Supreme Court case of Roe vs. Wade legalized abortions here in this country. We still today, after 45 years, have Republicans with one of their top priorities is overturning and repealing this court case so they can suppress women. If it was up for Republicans, they would force every woman to have a baby. They go around acting like people get pregnant and have an abortion for fun. They are completely wrong. These decisions are hard and personal and should ALWAYS be left to the mother, NOT the government. On the other hand, there are ways to combat the amount of abortions. First is forcing insurance companies to provide free birth control. We all know that the Republican Party would NEVER want their rich, insurance friends (who are all worth millions and billions) pay for birth control. They would, of course, rather have the single mother who makes minimum wage and $14,000 a year pay for it. Second, we must increase funding for education so we can ensure that sex education is being taught in our schools. Yet, Republicans cut funding for schools. The GOP complain about abortions but their policies are exactly what is causing many abortions!
#silence#shame#fear#locked#secret#burden#alone#judgement#justlove#love#accept#grow#journey#lifeisbeautiful - M-W defines shame as - a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior. ——— while the behavior may be one we all agree is wrong, the feeling left behind should not trap us in a state of shame forcing us to hide who we are, why we did what we did. Why? Because here’s the thing...WE ALL make choices to do something we know is not right, but because of shame we don’t learn from the mistake. There is a reason behind our actions good or bad. If it were safe to share with someone who you could look in the eye and not receive the judgmental glare in return, they too may learn something to apply to their journey in life.
Nobody is perfect. Nobody lives a life of all right choices. We are here to fall, get up, learn, grow, run and fall again. But with each round, we become stronger and essentially more free. Not all believe in God, but I do. I’ve never felt shame when baring it all before Him. He’s done exactly what we should all do - listen, help get to the root of why I did what I did, give guidance and help me back up. If only we could model this with each other.
"First, Republicans [if they have their way] will eliminate so many deductions, like the ones for home mortgages and charitable giving that middle-class families will see their tax bills go up an average of $2,000 while anyone who makes $3,000,000 or more will see their tax bill go down an average of $250,000. Secondly, they'll cut so much spending that they'll obliterate the budget for the national parks, ensuring clean air, clean water, safe food, safe air travel. They will cut back on pell grants, loans, early childhood education, child nutrition programs - all the programs that help empower middle-class families and help poor kids. They'll cut back on investment in roads, and bridges, and science and technology, and biomedical research. That's what they'll do. They'll hurt the middle-class and the poor and put the future on hold to give tax cuts to upper income people. Thirdly, despite their rhetoric, they'll do what they've been doing for more than thirty years. They'll go and cut taxes WAY more than they cut spending, especially with a big defense increase, and they'll just explode the debt and weaken the economy and they'll destroy the federal government's ability to help you by allowing interest gobble up all your tax payments. Don't you ever forget when you hear them talking about this. Republican economic policies quadrupled the national debt in the twelve years before I took office and doubled the debt the eight years after I left."
- President Bill Clinton

Cobrapost's investigation claims that top Indian media houses agreed to defame opposition leaders and propagate Hindutva for electoral gains, in exchange for money. The investigation also includes a sting operation on e-commerce payment giant Paytm.

“What triggered you may not be your fault. But how you respond to it is your choice and your responsibility.” —David Tian, Ph.D.
Healthy Boundaries: You are responsible for your own emotions and actions, and you are not responsible for the feelings and actions of other adults.
If you are Pro-Life and are for the separation of families and against helping children seek refuge from war zones, you are the most immoral hypocrite on this planet Earth.
We all know that if Republicans had their way, they would force all women to have a baby, even if it is unwanted. However, once the baby is born, they would want to deny the mother and the baby Medicaid, Food Stamps, and WIC. Not only this, but once the baby becomes a toddler and child, Republicans want to strip funding from the education budget, and also from programs like Head Start. When the child enters high school, Republicans would want to strip programs, like TRIO programs, that help children pay for the SAT and ACT and help prepare them for college. And of course, when they reach college, Republicans would put them thousands in debt! Republicans care nothing about children deep inside. If they did, they would help them in their growing of age. And of course, they hate babies because they deny children refuge from Syria, where women are holding their dead, bloody children in their arms after a bomb hit their house. They have NO MORALS.
I do. Well not the actual date but it was in 1975 and we lived at 8 Lismore Street, Broadmeadows. I remember that. We moved a lot and I had to remember a lot of addresses...apparently knowing addresses was to keep you safe in case you got lost. It must have been in the summer time. I was wearing a navy blue pinafore dress over a white t-shirt and my fine hair was parted to the left and held with a clip. I was outside laying on the grass watching some snails slowly march past. I was lining them up on the crack between two pavers so that I could see who was the fastest and so I could see their glistening trails. They weren't very good at going in straight lines or at racing, but that didn't matter...it was that day... that day...I remember... #7#did#cptsd#metoocsa#toosoonamute#silenced#shame#thatday#disocciated
Confession: Sometimes (ok, all the time) I feel extremely lame for having health problems/illness. I try so hard to make up for it by being one of the healthiest eaters, exercisers, meditators...I could go on. I feel like somehow it's my fault because I create my reality, and the shame that covers me like a tidal wave in those moments feels like it's probably just going to drown me and I'll never be anything but a sick girl. But yesterday I started challenging this idea. (Because working on bettering yourself always pays off even if it's not the way you think it's "supposed" to)
Yesterday, while waiting for an ultra sound and an MRI, my wife told me I'm brave, and I'm on this new super-honest-about-what-I'm-feeling thing, so instead of saying "thanks, honey," I said, "I don't feel brave; I feel stupid." And bam, there it was. I wasn't only dreading lying in a tiny tube...I've been dreading my own freaking judgment for a really long time.
So now I start down a different path, a path that leads to a different way of viewing myself, my body, and illness. I don't have it all figured out yet, but I saw a glimmer of trust and gratitude and love yesterday when I took this photo and believed in another way.
