Hair Gods we’re in my favor today. Blonde color corrections are my favorite! I’m so happy with how far we got miss Maddie tonight! Thank you for trusting me to help you out! 😘
@missjules713 and me back at it again! I have been doing Julia's hair for years, and it all began when she got a botched ombre on her waist length hair. Since then, she's been every shade of blonde, short and long. She came in with about 4 inches of grown out balayagr on the ends, and mostly her natural level 6. We are working our way to being a powerhouse cool blonde with a shadowed root. Here's how we got there today:
--classic full foil placement on the entire head. 1/2inch sections, some micro weaved and some medium weave. Micro around the face in the "headband" area. Hand painted all the left out hair.
Lifted her to a level 9. --mixed SEQ 1/2oz 7n 1/2oz 7v splash 7p with gel solution and applied to her base area, leaving out the money pieces in the front. Let that go about 5 mins
--melt that into her toner, 1/2oz 8v and 3/4oz 9n in shades. Processed root drop and toner for 10 mins total.
-- used @celebluxury Bond Fix treatment at the bowl to aid in detangling and to give shine and smoothness.
Julia is one of my very favorite people. When we get together it's like the time flies, because it's me catching up with an old friend, and I just happen to be foiling at the same time. She is a gem, and I am so proud to be the one she trusts for her hair.
▪️Watch the breakdown▪️⬅️⬇️
Take note...this babe had a 6 month old color with previously lightened mids & ends‼️
Step 1️⃣ Haircut ✂️ Why color what you’re going to cut anyways 🤷🏻♀️
Step 2️⃣ Full Highlight, starting in back. (Placement in photo ⬆️) Using @Redken FlashLift, 30 volume & @Olaplex No.1
Step 3️⃣ Foils all in👏🏻 I check to see how the back has lifted. If it’s lifted almost to the level I am happy with I quickly start to pull & “tip out” the very ends of her hair that are left out. This is to give her previous lightened ends that pop✨
Step 4️⃣ Start pulling section by section as they lift to desired level. It’s so important to constantly check your foils! Once all rinsed, WELL 💦 I applied Olaplex No.2 generously all over then brushed through the backcombing with @thewetbrush , processing for 20min under heat.
Step 5️⃣ Time to get #rooty ‼️ Without rinsing Olaplex No.2 I used ShadesEQ 1/2oz.3N 1/2oz.4NB at her roots, using the combing method to move the toner down little by little every few min.Total time ⏲12min.
Step 6️⃣ Rinse 💦 with cool water so toner doesn’t bleed where you don’t want it‼️ Shampoo 💆🏻♀️ then applied her all over toner, starting at her MIDS first‼️ Then pulling down to her ends the final 2 min.
ShadesEQ 1oz.9V 1/2oz.8N 1/4oz.7P 1/4oz.7NB Total time ⏲ 6min. 💦 Condition.
Step 7️⃣ Style✨ @unite_hair ”7 Seconds” leave in + @moroccanoil for hydration, blowdry💨, spray @love_amika ”The Shield” for thermal protection, Curl using @hottoolspro 1&1/4inch iron, finish @igkhair ”Beach Club” texture spray for those loose 🌊🌊🌊
Balayage to foil transition: full head of babylights using #redken flashlift, then balayage ends with free hand lightener in between foils to give brightness on the ends, while leaving depth at the root. Glazed with #shadeseq 9V/9P/clear for 7 minutes
My client wanted a MAJOR change. She wanted BLONDE!!! I came in on a Saturday because there’s NO WAY I could do this on a regular day. 6 hrs later. She still had some green color on the ends.... that stayed green thru rounds of lightening. 🙍🏻♀️to 💁🏼♀️💇🏼♀️
