Our poor Rugdog had the worst separation anxiety 😢 We tried keeping him down on the first floor while we were at work but he literally burrowed a hole through the sliding door 😰 Our best natural remedy is a busy toy and cozy atmosphere. His recovery level is to the point that I worry he loves his @kongofficial Kong toy more than us 😂 We like to switch it up for him and this morning he had blueberries, peanut butter, and a few mini-treats. Highly recommend spending the extra dollar or so for the "extra tough" version. *Always watch your dog with a Kong toy first or at least inspect toy for loose peices before leaving unsupervised. If your Kong toy gets to the point that it's falling apart, replacement is necessary.
As many of you may already know, I'm Italian (the big hair and loud mouth are hard to miss!).
So when we say hello, we say 'Ciao', which also means goodbye.
I'd love to know how you say hello.
Maybe you speak different languages, or maybe you have a favourite greeting, like 'Howdy'. Or is that just for cowboys?
I'm leaving the place I call my home. I'm gonna miss my life here. It has so many memories, good and bad. I grew up here alone with my dog. I learned how to clean the whole house on my own, fix electricity wires, paint my walls and change bulbs. My dog saw how I struggled to fix my own water pipes, she witnessed how I literally cried cause it was so hard to set up my own airconditioner and I didn't want to call anyone for help. 😂
This place is my safe haven. I don't wanna kiss this place goodbye. 😣
I know I'll find a new place that I'll call home again and I will fill it with great memories too. I wonder where or what it looks like.
For anyone who has a furry family member with anxiety of any type, you should really try My Peaceful Paws. They’re aromatherapy drops made to calm dogs who are fearful or anxious.
I seriously thought aromatherapy for dogs was bull, but Buddha just had the fright of his life when a giant Newfoundland walked out in front of him. He was shaking, pacing, whining, trying to run, just having an overall meltdown. I put more drops on his bandana once we got back inside since he was still panting and crying and he calmed down immediately. It was amazing.
They’re not too expensive and they don’t smell terrible. They’ve helped Buddha with his separation anxiety IMMENSELY, to the point where he doesn’t even cry when we leave now. @skillfulpaws
