Professor Thome (Professor for Intelligent Business Synergy @uniwuerzburg and multiple business founder) predicted a lot of developments and trends very early. In the early 2000s he predicted his students cashless-stores that Amazon opened in 2018. He also mentioned the opportunities of Cyber Physical Systems.
The big question now: What`s next? Therefore, we talked about topics that might characterize our current future. Two very hot topics are flexible and intelligent robots and intelligent information systems. For companies this opens up huge opportunities, for instance, if you think about logistics and material flow.
Digital transformation is a (fast) ongoing process. And we have to be aware that everything is going to change continuously again and again and again. If companies do not understand that and don't have the mindset for this change, they are really in trouble – Kodak!

With support from the NSF, computer scientist Shwetak Patel and his team at @uofwa are developing new sensing systems to empower people to make better informed decisions for themselves and their homes. Sensors, one at each hip, monitor the unique electrical impulses produced by our cardiovascular system. These impulses contain a significant amount of critical information about our health, physical state, and even mental state. We use these sensors along with machine learning to understand and analyze metrics like heart-rate, stress levels and sleep stages.
I think I have a working design for fitting quadrature encoders to the back of the main drive motors. A couple of 3d printed parts are need to hold the sensor and the encoder wheel and everything should just about fit inside the plastic housing on the motor.
When the indicator lights in your car turn on, it usually means: act fast. Especially when it comes to the differential pressure sensor (DPS). This sensor measures the pressure before and after the diesel particulate filter - thus determines the pollution condition. If you do not make the replacement in time, it can lead to the destruction of the filter and thus high follow-up costs.
