This post is VERY difficult to write. But i strive to be as transparent as possible. I spent a year on #keto and got my life back and lost 80 lb in the process. Feeling the best i ever had my entire life. Then, i spent the last year killing myself again. I have gained back 48 lb, im having glucose issues, my eczema and psoriasis are awful, my mental health is a mess, my pain and inflammation are out of control, and as you can tell in the pic my thyroid is beyond going nuts. I feel defeated. I feel ashamed. I let food destroy my life again. I can continue to sit here and wallow in my own self pity or i can get off my ass and get my crap together like i did the first time. I am choosing the latter. I am committing to myself and to all of you that i am taking back control. I will no longer let food and bingeing rule me. I can't. Not if i want any kind of life. If i want to to have my beat life and be a role model for my children and those around me i HAVE to do it NOW. No more excuses, no more yo-yoing, no more giving up. Im done with that life. So heres to tomorrow and to getting back to the best version of me. Who wants to join me? Who wants their best life back? Who wants to help hold me accountable? No better time than now. Comment below if you're ready and let me know what first steps you'll be taking to get started. Lets do this. *

🌕🌑Nightly Ritual🌕🌑 Onnit New Mood✨
Serotonin has been shown to be a key neurotransmitter linked to mood, happiness, and positive outlook. Combining the two raw building blocks of serotonin, L-tryptophan and 5-HTP, with a converting catalyst, Vitamin B6, New MOOD™ provides the nutrients to help the body become a serotonin-boosting powerhouse.✨ 💫Super B-Complex is a combination of 8 essential B vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, B6, folic acid, biotin, pantothenic acid, and B12) which help support the production of cellular energy in the body. † It also provides vitamin C for antioxidant support. † Helps convert food into cellular energy†💫 🌟Melatonin is a hormone, produced in the brain, that carries out a wide range of roles in the body; the most well known of its functions is the control of circadian (daily) rhythms.
Produced in the pineal gland in the brain, melatonin helps control sleep-wake cycles.
In humans, the circadian "clock" is found within the hypothalamus in an area called the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN).
Melatonin is also known to play a protective role in neurodegenerative diseases.🌟
⭐️⭐️Oil of clove, also known as clove oil, is an essential oil extracted from the clove plant.
Clove Oil health benefits include treating infection, fighting throat and mouth inflammation, treating toothache, boosting immune system, minimizing stress, treating respiratory issues, alleviating the effect of vomiting and nausea, fighting fatigue, treating acne, sparks hair growth, and controlling diabetes. ⭐️⭐️✨I can personally vouch that it works for respiratory issues AND toothaches. It even worked to numb the ridiculously intense pain of an exposed nerve due to a cracked tooth.✨#Onnit#OnnitLabs#getOnnit#stayONNIT#loveOnnit#newmood#newyou#cloveoil#essentialoils#livesmart#supplements#allnatural#neuroscience#neuroplasticity#healthy#selfcare#selfawareness#timetohealeachother#spreadlove#YOUniverse#goodintentions#goodvibes#positivity#love#light#connected#goodnight 😘😘😘
I am currently sitting at the airport waiting to fly home after sitting at the hospital with my 99 year old great grandfather since Friday morning. When I got the message that he was in hospital and was not going to make it I was a little shocked, he is 99 but just over a week ago he was still running around doing everything including 3kms on the treadmill daily. This man is an inspiration to everyone he meets. He has lived a good life and he loved it! He worked hard and smart, he never gave up, and he was never too old or afraid to try new things.
We are not on this earth forever so live in the moment and enjoy it. There will be hard times but it's all part of life and it makes us strong.
Look after your body, eat healthy food and exercise! Do things that you love and remember you are never to old to try something new or chase your dreams.
Stop living in the past, stop living in the future, live now!
Happy Birthday Mom, Mama, Angela, Sophie!!! I really enjoyed this dinner with the uglies! Even after all these years and all the shit that has happened she still manages to find the joy and laugh through the bad situations.
Winding down from a super busy weekend and planning to incorporate some ‘boring’ self care into my day tomorrow. By boring self care I mean the things that you have to do in order to care for yourself that don’t necessarily feel indulgent or relaxing. So often people think self care means getting massages, taking baths, or getting your nails done, but what about the boring side of it? While it looks different for everyone, here are examples of the what this looks like:⠀
✨ Staying on top of your finances instead of sweeping them under the rug⠀
✨ Having a tough conversation with a friend or partner⠀
✨ Keeping yourself hydrated even when you don’t feel like drinking water⠀
✨ Reaching out to someone when depression wants you to isolate yourself⠀
✨ Eating nutrient-dense food that you know will make you feel better⠀
✨ Following the medicine or supplement schedule your doctor gave you⠀
✨ Nipping negative self-talk in the bud when you feel like you’re spiraling⠀
✨ Being honest and vulnerable with people in your life⠀
Now it’s time for a night of rest before starting my week tomorrow 😴 How are you caring for yourself this next week?⠀
Regardless of what people say about you or anyone, nothing would ever matter because noone knows what you go through on a day-to-day basis which is actually building you up to who you are now. You can be called all the names in the world but at the end of the day how you feel about yourself before going to sleep is what really matters. www.thoughtsofcancer.blog
As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today I know this is “AUTHENTICITY”
As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call it “MATURITY”
As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm. Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE”
As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health -food, people, things , situations and anything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF”
As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worrying about the future. Now I only live in the moment, where everything is happening. Today I live each day, day by day and I call it “FULFILLMENT”
As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART” -Charlie Chaplin
