A fairly short health update by my standards...
It's taken a couple of days to upload, but this is me having the first of my ongoing weekly Paclitaxol chemotherapy (the drug in the black bag) on Wednesday. Everything went incredibly smoothly on the first day, with brilliant nursing staff. My new intravenous powerport just below my collarbone (put in on Friday 6th and still rocking a huge bruise!) made intravenous access so straigtforward. Alll it needs is a 'gripper' needle to be clicked into place and the drugs can go straight in or I can have bloods taken, pain-free, no anxiety over how many cannulation attempts it will take, my arms are free to move - it's just so much easier! As for the side effects of the chemo itself, without jinxing it, I'm doing ok so far... 💉💊🏥💪😊
Thank you so much to @living_a_new_normal for allowing us to share this beautiful photo. She writes, "A few years ago this was me. First ever operation, huge 10 inch scar across my chest where a breast use to be and a bag of nerves at the start of this photo shoot. But it was one of the most amazing experiences as it gave me back some of my confidence and made me realise beauty is not about being perfect.
Since this I have had my other breast removed and both breast reconstructed, and I have have a huge scar on my arm as the cancer came back in my humerus bone meaning I now have a bionic arm aswell as fake boobs.
My treatment will never be finished and I will rely on the hope more treatments get found in future but for now I'm doing well and want to help spread awareness so no one has to go through what I have." Photos by @tatum_reid

Honest heartfelt post time my lovelies
Since January this year due to the progression of my mams #metastaticbreastcancer she has been taking #oralchemo#oralchemotherapy medication called #capecitabine
Unfortunatley one of the side effects of this drug is it can cause your feet and hands to burn and you are told to regularly moisturise as it can actually damage your skin
My mother being the typical woman she is suffers from this side effect. So i did some research into products the company im partnered with produce and came across this little gem for her to try... And it actually works 😍😍😍 Being able to provide my mother with a simple foot cream that completely eradicates the painful burning she experiences in her feet brings me great joy... Being able to share this product and results with everyone else and potentially help to ease others suffering in silence.... priceless
This is one of the main reasons I LOVE what i do
Looking for a foot cream that actually soothes and cools when it says it does? This is the one for you 🔥
You said a few months ago that you hoped to inspire someone going through Breast Cancer... Well @tracey_l_keers you’ve certainly gone above and beyond that. You’ve touched the hearts of so many people.
Having Breast Cancer in common isn’t exactly how I wished we’d met & I utterly despise it for taking such a beautiful person. Yet I feel so honoured and privileged to have known you. You offered me so much support & encouragement, and I only hope I did the same for you too.
Helping you type up your latest blogs was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but it put a lot of things into perspective. The way you wrote so stoically about everything, echoed your strength and courage and proved just how selfless you were.
You carried so much hope with you all the way and I can only hope now that you are resting peacefully and that your family have the strength and support they need, to heal through this difficult time.
I will miss our chats, sharing stories and joking about the trivial stuff. I will miss you. So, until we meet again beautiful lady. We can then pick up from where we left off. ♥️ •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #tnbc#secondarybreastcancer#metastaticbreastcancer#leptomeningealcarcinomatosis#triplenegativebreastcancer#breastcancernow#breastcancerawareness#cancer#awareness#blogger#breastcancer#prematurebaby#strength#inspiration#donttakelifeforgranted
Last night at the @breastcancernow Supporters Reception and accompanied by @laureneveh ❤️
Inspiration, great speeches, drinks and canapés - all in the name of research and living in the hope that one day soon, nobody will have to die from breast cancer 🙏🏼🌟
