Who's in the mood for Spring?
This mini-mood board captures the vibrant, cheeky & celebratory side of the season, great for forward-looking, uplifting brands with a lot of fun in their personality.
Don't you just want to take a day off & enjoy the beach??
Hello blue skies! ☀️ I actually felt the sun on my face today, shocker!
Which got me thinking, Do you manage to get outdoors everyday?
I always, without fail feel so much better after a walk outside. 🌳🌤 It clears my mind and I find it’s when I come up with solutions to problems I’ve been trying to sort out for a while.
So why is it sometimes to hard to force myself out or make the time for it!? Must put that on my ‘habits to start’ list! ✅
It’s been a weird maple syrup season so far. The buckets went up nearly month ago when it was beautiful and looked like spring was here. This morning it was -23 when the kids got on the school bus. Ahhh! I want #sunshine and +2 with melting snow and over-flowing #sap buckets please!!! #maplesyrupseason#canadianspring#aseasonalshift
So sorry but all the carrot cake is gone. Okay, there‘s lots left but we absolutely cannot share it. No can do. 🥕 Happy Easter though!
😉 #linkimprofil
Chatting about filming without makeup on Insta Stories for @me_and_orla ’s #talktocamerachallenge . P.S. Sorry for all the posting and deleting and reposting! It’s been one of those days. 🙈 Also, last chance to post a snow photo, eh?
Just caught the tail end of the storm Emma yesterday as she blew a gale around me. I quickly lost the feeling in my fingers for this shot! My Heath Cliff hesitantly snapped me as I looked out towards “The Cage” in Lyme Park. If you zoom in on the far left of the horizon you might just see it’s faint outline too! #WHPlandscape .
PS thank you to everyone for their #KindComments this week. After an unfortunate run in with a taxi driver, your words buoyed me back to happy within no time ♥️♥️
The sun is just about breaking through the thick mist that has wrapped itself around Yorkshire this morning. Does this mean an end to the snow? Hope so!
Strange to think the modestly bobbing heads of these snowdrops were captured in brilliant sunshine just a week ago.
I feel like we’ve had a second winter in this first few days of March. Drifts of snow piled up against the door to be whipped away again when the gusts reached 40mph. I have enjoyed it for a time, but I would like to read a book at home now without the assistance of fingerless gloves 🙈
Also, more than anything, I need a reason to justify the three bags of mini eggs I’ve eaten since the end of February. 😀
I hope you’re thawing our, wherever you are!
I always find snow so magical and exciting. But after you’ve been snowed in for 3 days and you’ve run out of the ‘essentials’ like butter, cheese...chocolate the novelty wears off
Luckily it’s mostly melted now, so I’ll be going to the village shop to stock up and then returning home to resume snuggling up by the fire with lots of tea ☕️ >> How are you planning to spend your Sunday? Jx
What do you love about your neck of the woods? NW Arkansas is the perfect balance of nature and culture to me. We have plentiful parks and walking trails yet also museums and theatres. It’s just the kind of place I dreamed of living and didn’t know existed. So this is where the magic happens. ✨ #kindlecuriosity
It’s a keeping cosy kind of day, right? Are you out in the snow today or staying in and keeping cosy? >>
We’ve had lots more snow over night, not that the dogs are complaining, they love it and the roaring fire indoors 🐶 I’ve also dug our my grandpas sledge, a traditional wooden toboggan that he made with metal runners - it’s super speedy and a little lethal but tons of fun 🛷
>> What ever you’re up to keep cosy, drink plenty of tea and pray for spring 💐☺️
It’s a winter wonderland out there! I’m practising moving shots for my @me_and_orla #gloomandglow homework, that I’m embarrassingly behind with, and this weather is a gift. I’m loving the snow in slow mo - it’s so magical. The kids are at home today because the schools are closed, so we’ve got a day of snowman-building and snowy walks ahead of us, but first we’re baking some bread. Tucked up in bed last night, Isaac said, “if school is closed tomorrow it will be a dream come true.” Well, here we are, people - living the dream! 😆🌨❄️☃️
Flaunting my new library reads that I picked up this morning 💁🏻♀️
A big thanks has to go to @rhymeandribbons for reminding me how awesome libraries are and giving me the boot up the backside to apply for a library card.
It’s funny really, as for the past few years I’ve been so bent on ‘accumulating’ a home library whilst dozens of local libraries closed around me and then I would complain to anyone who would listen about ‘the crying shame’ of library closures... the irony is not lost on me!
As a little’un and right though to university I’d go to the library a few times a week with my mum after school and I’d totally forgot how exciting it is when your book reservation email comes through! (Nerd alert! 🤓) •
Sugar Money - historical novel set in 1765 about brothers who smuggle slaves from Grenada. This one was inspired by a book review by @notestothemoon 🙂
A Skinful of Shadows - folk inspired novel about a young girl and a family secret trying to arm herself against restless spirits.
The Hazel Wood - Alice’s grandmother, a writer of dark fairytales, dies and on her isolated estate and Alice’s mother goes missing. She must enter ‘The Hazel Wood’, where her grandmothers tales and reality merge into one.
Now the question is... which to read first? 💕
What are your plans for this last weekend in Feb? Can you believe it’s nearly March already!? We’re heading to the Peak District this weekend for my 30th birthday celebrations ⛰🎉
It’s been on my Wish List for ages to stay in a shepherd’s hut and now we’re going to do just that (I’m told the log burner will be lit for when we arrive and it’ll all be warm and toasty - will report back)!
>> The plan is to do lots of walking and eating this weekend, I can’t wait ⛰ Jx
We planted our first bulbs last autumn and I cannot describe how exciting this is. 🌱 If gardening sounds intimidating to you check out @laetitiamaklouf and her #fiveminutegarden approach. 🌷 #kindlecuriosity
