It’s that time again where I ask for your opinion!
I would love to do one of the ‘Big 5’ animals and would like help choosing which one! I would also like to know whether you think I should do it as a sculpture or a portrait! For example- Elephant portrait or Rhino sculpture!
I would love a challenge so hit me with your choices!! Thank you in advance!! 😘
Buffalo, rhino, lion, leopard or elephant?!?! 🤔
Museum Week 2018 - Malvina Hoffman was the first woman ever installed in the Luxembourg Gardens 1919, and only 2nd American. Bacchanale (shown @clevelandmuseumofart ) was first commissioned by Abram Garfield for the Dalton family of Cleveland, 1917. It was considered very modern - like Hoffman’s 1911 Russian Dancers, which won first prize at the Paris Salon, depicting motion in dance. The curator of the Luxembourg Gardens asked to recast the over life size bronze for the Paris gardens. Malvina Hoffman was the first woman ever installed in the prestigious gardens but the Germans stole Bacchanale in WW2, destroying Hoffman’s legacy as the first woman. .
Super excited to participate in an amazing, all female, show @asharaekundayogallery creating a site specific, mixed media, immersive art installation 😻I will be sharing more behind the scenes progress so stay tuned...
