Dear dress, you have no idea how happy I am to see you. I must have been crazy to decide to want to fly overseas to get a dress made. What do I know about design and tailoring? From your fabrics to your stitches, your zips and your embroidery - every part of you I had to learn, decide, and cross my fingers.
I really thought you were not going to make it on time. I thought you would turn out horrible and I'd find myself crying on a plane to Dallas. When we started to draw and redraw your sketches, I became aware how daunting this task was. And then when we had to remake you almost from scratch last week, all of me wanted to turn back time and remake my decisions. Why'd I have to be so "gey kiang"? Why didn't I just do it how others have done it and save myself on the stress?
And then you missed the flight to Singapore, and that was basically the breaking point. The point where I could either cave or trust God for a miracle. I chose the latter coz what did I have to lose anyway right? That was the day desperation broke and faith began. You being awesome and arriving on time wasn't my responsibility anymore.
And in His style, my awesome creator showed up again. When you arrived and when I put you on, I felt like bursting into a happy fountain of tears. Are you my dream dress? Well you weren't, but now you've become it because you're a miracle and a testament of how God is good to me even when I find it hard to trust. When I wear you, I will be wearing a miracle.

Abraham expressed confidence before he ever saw the ram (and we will come back to you). He could express that confidence because even though he wasn't clear on how God would come through, he was confident that He would come through. God did what Abraham was confident of, HE provided. Obedience and provision met. They met on the mountain- where God told Abraham to go. Stay faithful to what you've been asked to do, even and especially when it's seemingly impossible. #sayyestothetest#remainfaithful#PilgrimRest#occupy
