NEWS: $249,000 grant to help preserve Bay Point sandbar
The Port Clinton News Herald shared, "A conservation project aiming to permanently preserve the #BayPointSandbar , a 68-acre property at the southeast corner of the #Marblehead Peninsula in Sandusky Bay, was awarded the funds from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program, according to U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Toledo.
“This investment will fortify our work with the community to ensure we restore this vital coastal ecosystem and protect the wetlands in Sandusky Bay,” @repmarcykaptur said in a news release. “I am especially grateful to Western Reserve Land Conservancy for putting the pieces of this complicated funding puzzle together.”
