First track workout back since the @bostonmarathon 💙💛 6 x 800m — goal was 2:50 — 2:50, 2:58, 2:58, 2:58, 2:58, 2:58 ✔️ I was frustrated because a few weeks before Boston I ran this workout with less recovery between reps and 2 more additional reps all of which were sub 2:50 🤔 I think having the flu 😷 2 weeks after @bostonmarathon really took a lot out of me. The cough lingered up until last weekend. Have to remember we don’t always hit our goal times and that’s okay!!! Sometimes you just have to get the workout done, regroup and be ready for the next one! 6 mile tempo this week! -A #track#workout#runningwithdogs
Esse quinteto é guerreiro mesmo!! 🏅💪
Não basta acordar de madrugada...
Tem que sair em baixo de chuvarada e atravessar o RJ de ponta à ponta para chegar numa corrida..
🙈🙈😅😂😂😂 Afff.. Isso que é gostar de correr kkk
Me representaram legal 👏👏👏
Obrigada meninas pela companhia maravilhosa e pelas risadas durante nossa "pequena viagem"! 😄😍
(Ops. É "quinteto" mesmo viu! A Sandra, vulgo @mylegaby rs, não saiu na foto mas estava junto 😂)

Sunday long run ✔️
& in this 90* heat I’m trying to remember to keep my easy runs EZ. 😅 (wtf it’s only May)
Going into this next week my goals are:
▪️make intentional time for stretching.
▪️call someone new every day.
▪️figure out my next goal race. 💃🏼
What’s something on your list this week??
Ahhh such a pretty and perfect Sunday! 🌞 Another butt-kicking Insanity Max 30 in the books. 💪 I would say I love mixing this up with my running, but since the @runflyingpig , my running has been kind of non-existent 🤷 (just a mile or two here and there). Oh well, time to pick it back up because the Indianapolis SHE Power half marathon is right around the corner! 🏃👯@shepowerhalf
One of the things I enjoy so much about big races is meeting so many insta friends in real life. Meetups are everywhere and it’s so nice to put faces to social media handles! 👍🏻
I LOVE doing Bayshore and the small town feel too- I’ve done the half two years in a row and going back for the marathon this year.
SO many people on here are doing it and I want to meet all the people who inspire me every day! It’s so hard to meet the day of the race so I decided to put together my own meet-up!
I’ve partnered with Balega Socks and Run Gum, two of my favorite products, so come out- get a free pack of Run Gum to try, be entered to win a pair of Balega’s, and meet some IG friends! ❤️ Anyone is welcome!! •
Location: Bryant Park(very close to the school for packet pickup)
Time: 3:30pm on Friday May 25th.
Hope to see you there!! 🤞🏼

You don’t have to be extreme. Just consistent.
Running out of this week like ✌🏼 My body was craving a slight break from the constant go so I lowered my mileage this week (I don’t think I hit 30 🙈) but kept the streak alive because #priorities Looking forward to putting together my plan for more base miles leading into NYC and getting after it 🗽

Push the limits, leave it all out on the table, and go #AllIn . Today I pushed harder than I ever have and ran a 3:17:55 marathon!! It was wet, hilly, and full of bridges. But I managed to dodge the pot holes and push through the pain to ultimately knock off over 10 minutes from my previous best! Marathon #10 in the books! Huge thanks @iackers for driving me to Cleveland and coming out to cheer me on. Took lots of stress out of the weekend. Thanks to all the volunteers and police officers for being out on the course to make it as enjoyable as possible. Next marathon isn’t until the end of July in San Francisco with @caseycline_ . Can’t wait to come see @_mdenzer and @radenzer!
Last year I crossed the finish line 30 plus times, the year before that I think it was another 30 and gosh only knows how many before that. This guy has been standing there with me in the rain, in the snow, the heat, on days where he’s already put in 60 hours of work that week and he’s spending his day off watching me run & on days where he’s sick as a dog. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him complain (at least not to me)...except for being stuck inside the car with me post-race 🙊. He’s only missed maybe a handful of races over the years we’ve been together. He is literally one in a million & he deserves all of the free post-race beers and IG brags 😆❤️👏🏼 🍺 !
And with today’s half in 1:30:05, this weekend’s 19 total miles of trail racing is complete! I like doing a 10k + half double about a month out from my goal marathon races as a way to get in more hard miles over a slightly more extended but still fairly compact period of time. Got the W today, felt great, really just enjoyed the trails out there and the breeze was actually THE BEST thing ever at different parts of the course, especially towards the end, along the river and through the woods (to Grandma’s Marathon I go, haha). I was just so pumped to be out there running in nature next to the very high, raging river from all the rain we’ve had! Super interesting course included multiple staircases, one cobbled with a lot of leaves where I most definitely took my leisurely time so as to not wipe out, and one set of 75-90ish stairs! Shout out to my awesome husband Phillip for keeping me company all weekend; spectating this long is its own feat of endurance! Happy to have more hard miles in the bank, and now onward to some Sunday chill time!
Walking off the course nearly killed me today mentally. I bawled and bawled. I worked so hard for this race, but guess what? I can't control everything. I couldn't control the pouring rain or me slipping and jamming my hip.
I'm leaving with a lesson. I can't control aspects of all things. Someone else is in control, and this was supposed to happen. Everything happens for a reason. I'm a firm believer in that. I'm exactly where I should be in my life plan and for that I am humbled and grateful. .
I will be back for you, you beast. Marathons are hard, and I'm proud of myself for taking on something that only 1% of the population has done.
Ate a good size piece of humble pie this morning. Just a friendly reminder that this is work. I appreciate all the support I’ve gotten from this community, it’s unbelievable. I think many of you though I had this in the bag because it almost seems like it’s been too easy for me this year. Well, today I met my match.
It’s a beautiful course and a lot of fun, but definitely not a PR course. I’m not going to sit here and pretend like my time is bad or that I’m disappointed. Even if I had it today (and I didn’t) getting much more than a PR would’ve been tough. Crossed the finish in 1:27:57, good for 5th overall and 1st in my age group. Can’t complain about any of that.
It was a fun morning even though I fell short of my goals. Just a reminder you need to respect your body and give it the rest it needs. Time for a break before we wind up for @freepmarathon training as well as a few other fall races. Can’t thank all of you enough for joining me on this journey so far in 2018. Here’s to the best being yet to come 🥂 Cheers 😊
👉🏻Semana regenerativa para a minha 2ª e última prova de meia Maratona 🏃🏻♀️ até a @chimarathon .
Eu optei em fazer 2 provas de meia maratona até Chicago 🇺🇸 por dois motivos:
❕voltar a confiança em correr e sentir o prazer em voltar, que foi em Washington;
Bom domingo, internauuuutas!!!
