What an absolute whirl wind of a week! Definitely back to the hustle and bustle, but this time I’m mindful that it’s important not to get so busy making a living that you forget to live your life! Great to represent @lifestyle.ch0ice as part of @islandretreats.uk team this evening talking about the psychology of wellbeing, and looking forward to putting them through their paces tomorrow morning with a @borntorunlc session!
Now to try and get back into my training regime with Liverpool Rock & Roll half on the horizon 🏃♀️👊🏼
A quick update on the end2end run starting at the end of May.
To date you guys have raised a brilliant £1,367.00 with much of that done by the amazing Kat and Janet. Kat made over 1,100 pierogi and Janet is hosting a Ladies Lunch - thank you guys so much for being the best!
Last week I ran the West Highland Way (96 miles) with Neil Smith kindly in support. It was a real test and a proper reality check. It was tough! I ran 20 miles every day and we were able to test all logistics and make sure things worked. I learned much and decided to reduce the daily target to 20 miles. Now I know this I can plan out the end2end and start detailing where and when I am going to be in your area.
I really hope that people will raise some funds and come and run with me. It will be great to have company as it's a long way on my tod! If you don't want to run but have a friend that might please let them know about the challenge and get involved.
It's only just over a month before we set off to get started so please start give some thought to joining the campaign and being part of an epic adventure. Let's raise as much as we can for the amazing people @mariecurieuk
We look like a couple of boiled eggs with faces painted on them 😂.Second half marathon for me and managed to shave 5 mins off my last time🙌.A tale of two halves, the first seven miles just sailed by and at mile 8 I can only describe as a euphoric rush that was absolutely amazing and why running is so addictive.Even tho it was a smaller rural HM there were lots of spectators dotted about the course, people coming out of their houses to cheer us on and little kids holding their hands out for a high5 was so lush 😍.All the marshals were amazing especially the old guy who was doing the dab to point us in the right direction.By mile 11 tho I was feeling weird ,kept have ectopic heart palpitations and just couldn't get my rhythm, which I'm sure was due to virus I've had last few days and adrenaline of actually running a race(which is still scary for me 😬)my Blok chew got stuck on the way down and I was just dying to see the finish line and managed a little sprint finish 😂.Watched more runners come in after I'd done and it's so lovely to see the joy on people's faces when they crossed the line, one woman burst into tears and I must admit that made my eyes leak a bit ❤️.It's all a bit of a blur now but mostly I remember all the rows and rows of cabbages in the fields 😀
Just looked through my Run Britain stats and noticed that my 10k Pb is faster than what I’ve always told people. Need to change the goalposts and aim for a sub 50 mins now 😫 #goals#pb#running#runbritain#training
