This is the ONLY time I will admit it...my husband was RIGHT!! 😂
I was chopping up romaine lettuce the other night and I threw the end of it in the trash. Brandon told me to put it in water and it will grow...I didn’t believe him 🤷🏼♀️ Here we are...4 days later and we have romaine lettuce growing!! Crazy right?!? I just change out the water everyday and let it do it’s thing. After 2 weeks, it should be done growing!
Maybe I do have a green thumb after all...

My friend’s garden is slowly coming along. I’ve been so busy lately I forgot to post updates. Just in case you forgot, I helped two of my close friends start a garden. They are growing their own lettuce and multiple kinds of peppers. This was taken back during cinco de mayo but it’s looking lovely.
If you’re going to use a store bought dressing, or one that’s creamy or full of fat and sugar, make sure you actually measure out a serving so you know what you’re getting. What you put in/on your salad can seriously make or break a diet. If you’re watching calories strictly (weight loss) then bust out the good ol’ measuring spoons to watch your portions. Dressings, croutons, cheese, and even nuts and seeds are great in moderation but can jack up your calories real fast. They also tend to be high in fats and sugars. Today I was just in the mood for poppyseed dressing. So, I bought a “light” version, chose one with low sugar, and measured it out. I didn’t blow my calories and my salad was completely satisfying! I also put a pack of low sodium light tuna in there for my post work out protein! #saladscanbefun#healthyeating#watchyourportions#romainelettuce#redonion#tunaonsalad#exactly5croutons#carrotscelerycucumber#eatyourveggies
