Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice. From what I’ve tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if I had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate to know that for destruction ice is also great and would suffice. #robertfrost#quote#fireandice#poem
Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
Society: it's schedule and it's standards- yet I still lived how I chose to. And for that I am grateful
"Take the road less traveled by" is constantly misquoted to mean that thinking outside the box will help you in the long run. When really that's not what Robert Frost meant at all. The roads were both alike in dignity. He meant to say taking one's own path isn't easier, but rather more authentic 🍃🌳🌻 #hiking#nature#photography#robertfrost#roadlesstravelled#freshair#asthetic 🌳🌲🌻
To quote @iamkidpresident and Robert Frost: “Two roads diverged in the woods... and I took the road less traveled... AND IT HURT MAN!!!
Not cool Robert Frost! But what if there were only two paths? I wanna be on the one that leads to awesome!”
I recently remembered KP’s pep talk and laughed realizing how relevant it still is today. The road to recovery is hard. The road to bettering yourself is hard. Any road that will lead towards success is HARD! Robert Frost made it sound so romantic to take the road less traveled, but it’s nothing like a picnic
No matter what you’re working to accomplish, whether it’s for your career, your health, or any aspect of your life, forging your own path will come with all the obstacles you can think of. So surround yourself with people that will walk it with you. Make the road less traveled a road trip with your tribe! Foster creativity, encourage one another, spread positivity, and lean on each other. Make the road less traveled less like an isolating trek and more like a celebration!!
I hope that whatever you’re working on right now, however you’re trying to better yourself, that you won’t try to do it alone. KP said it best: ”if life is a game, aren’t we all on the same team? Let’s start acting like it! It’s everybody’s duty to give the world a reason to dance!”
Right now I feel as though I'm at a fork in the road with my career (and because I feel like being dramatic ...with life in general) I just applied for what really sounds like a dream job for me: it's an engineering position focused on design and recycled material use/sustainability (my background is within engineering if you didn't know). In fact, I've never been so inspired my a job description. It's also in an interesting field! On the other hand, my website is quicky gaining traction. Don't let the instagram likes (or lack therof) fool you... Pair that with the inspiration from @christybwright and #businessboutique and it has me feeling REALLY torn. Both sound great. So if you don't mind....if you pray, or don't mind at least thinking of me....I need CLARITY. I need a door to be opened or closed or a sign or SOMETHING that helps me to realize what the heck to do.
Oh and if you're curious on why "Two Roads" it's because of the poem by Robert Frost. Really though, I think both options are the road less traveled by.
"Momento Mori" (Remember that you will die)
-Emperor Marcus Aurelius
Do all you can with what you can in the time you have left. Make sure the music, the words the emotions you have been given are shared for the betterment of the world and that they do not die with you unborn. Be your best version of yourself possible and live your best destinies.
Awaiting another flight to another land for another show remembering all those who travelled with me as a musician an actor, and/or a filmmaker, over the years and the good times and challenges we faced. Miles to go before I sleep.
"I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate willfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth's the right place for love:
I don't know where it's likely to go better.
I'd like to go by climbing a birch tree,
And climb black branches up a snow-white trunk
Toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more,
But dipped its top and set me down again.
That would be good both going and coming back.
One could do worse than be a swinger of birches." - Robert Frost 💕
We dance around the ring and suppose, while the secret sits in the middle and knows. -Robert Frost
The secret is formless being that cannot resist taking form as mind, body and universe. 'Form' and 'formless' dance together. We are both the dancer and the dance. -Deepak Chopra.
"Tin Roof Rusted!"
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
