Why a "men's class"? We've found that men often have a lot of erroneous perceptions of Pilates -- namely that it is for women so we wanted to create a class that welcomed men and helped to dispel that false belief. After all, Joseph Pilates created the method to help rehabilitate soldiers from wartime injuries! Although geared towards the Pilates-curious gentleman, this class is for anyone looking for a challenge. We will target issues men often need to work on most: flexibility, core strength and balance using the deeper underlying musculature vs the bigger superficial muscles. This unique class will challenge you to look at strength in a whole new way! Spots still available in today’s 12:30 pm class! 💪
Three apparatuses (apparati?) same exercise. We completed a grand total of two exercises in our time together. Sometimes it’s good to peel back and exercise and do it well. All three men walked out feeling taller. And maybe a bit grumpier. Lol. #realmendopilates#mermaidsaintfun
It’s probably no surprise after he took 30+ classes during the Spring Remix Challenge that Zach took his 250th CLASS LAST NIGHT! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Zach has been taking classes for a little less than a year and says he feels stronger than when he started. Zach came in with zero Pilates and Yoga experience. Fast forward to today and he’s regularly at the 5am classes, can rock a headstand, flying lizard, and crow-into-headstand. He even took the plunge and kicks it with us at Barre+Kickboxing every Friday morning. We’re so proud of Zach and all his accomplishments over the past year! Can’t wait to see what you do after 250 more classes! 💚💚🥂🥂
Today I did not feel like working out. I’m trying to get better at deciphering what my body is communicating. For me it’s one of the hardest things. Knowing if you’re really feeling tired or just in need of a little kick up the backside to get going, or knowing when to dial it down even when your brain is telling you to push through and go full throttle. Felt like today was the right choice.
He reallllly makes me proud @pranav0212!!! One of my personal favorite clients ( tho we cannot have fav's in our job) he's one guy who despite having a hectic schedule makes it to the studio, travels the country 🛫in the middle of the week and comes back in! He loves to eat but promises me to cheat a little less. His next goal is a hot bod like @varundvn 😌 since they are neighbour's anyway 😄 Here he is attempting the #Pilates teaser and got it almost right the very first time!! And with that I conclude #realmendopilates too!!
