What foods are you supposed to eat?
Well, don’t let me choose that for you. Consider letting Mother Nature though.
And no, not an all or nothing thing. That’d be too much in today’s world. I like to think we humans created donuts for the odd enjoyment — just not necessarily everyday or 3 at a time every day.
And trust me I’ve been there. You might be someone who eats too much of the processed stuff — and I get it, it’s deliscious — but I promise I’ve never seen anyone regret leaving overeating that stuff behind them.
And even though I’m not necessarily into “paleo” it is, without question, the only nutritional structure out there that makes sense — even if some of their claims aren’t trust, they’re still telling you to eat natural foods.
And that’s what you should be eating. Like eat food that your great grandparents had access too. Fruits, vegetables, potatoes, rice, beans, oils, and some meat and fish.
Does it get boring?
Honestly, cooking skills could be important here. But also, and I’m just being honest, if you’re looking for food to entertain you every day you may be looking for food to fix a boredom issue it was never meant for.
And if you’re in a rush and can’t prep your own quality food or meal, you’re gonna pay more.
If it ran, swam, or grew out of the ground there’s a good chance it’s what you want most the time.

Miso Vegetable Soup
1T lemon juice
1T olive oil
mushrooms thinly sliced
Spring onion sliced
Carrot thinly sliced
Kale slightly torn
Combine miso, lemon juice and olive oil in the jar
Top with ingredients as listed
Just before serving add hot water. Sit for 2-3 minutes and serve

When I first moved in with Joe, he had a cabinet full of vitamins and supplements - he could have been a sales Rep for Rite Aid!! He was also sick every time the weather changed. 😷😷 I never did quite understand it.

Sunday morning spent sipping on this sunny turmeric latte ☀️ this anti inflammatory + blood sugar stabilizing drink is the perfect way to start the day!
•1/2 tsp turmeric
•1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon
•pinch of sea salt + black pepper
•1 tsp @bulletproof brain octane (optional)
•1 tbsp coconut butter
•1/4 cup nut milk (I love using the homemade recipe from my website)
•1 cup hot water
•optional: 1/2-1 tsp raw honey (I love it unsweetened but do whatever you prefer!)
👉🏼combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for 1 minute until hot + frothy 💫 ENJOY!

First..This salad 😍 talk about cravings. Gimme a huge bowl of salad with some salmon and I’m a happy girl...
Second...Gestational Diabetes... 🤔 let’s just talk about it real quick.. I’ve done the test.. twice. I drank the nasty, dye filled, processed sugar bomb.. I didn’t complain because I knew I’d be fine...until I got a call saying I needed to go in to do a 3-hour Glucola test! WTF?! 3 hours!? Not to mention, I work out everyday and I eat a pretty healthy diet! Soo my instant reaction is NO. I’m not drinking that crap again, I’m not letting my baby ingest 100g of processed sugar and dye, once again. So I need help! I know I need to take the test to figure out if I am in fact one of the random few that ended up with GD.. BUT I ask you this.. is there an alternative to the sugar bomb.. like fresh OJ.. or something else that is actual sugar? Did any of you find a different way to test through Kaiser? Let me know! SLEEP IS SO IMPORTANT!! 💤😴💤 I have been tracking my sleep using @sleepcyclealarmclock for about a month now. I am very sensitive to changes in my circadian rhythm and after working 2 “typical 9-5” jobs on top of a serving job at night, I’m not going to lie and say that I have perfected my sleep. However, now that my work schedule is more consistent, I have been trying to hone in my sleep by getting on a schedule, wearing blue light blocking glasses at night, and reducing my alcohol intake in hopes of improving my energy and mental clarity throughout the day. This 85% quality rating is one of my best nights yet and the only way to go is up! (Was consistently having 70-75% quality nights with the occasional 50-60% when I drank). Time to fix my sleep for good!! Any suggestions are welcome! #OMNOMNOM

Take a look at these gluten free and dairy free Blueberry Collagen Waffles made with fresh blueberries and @youtheory Vanilla Collagen Powder! Gluten Free Blueberry Collagen Waffles
1 cup @bobsredmill gluten free flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 0.27 oz packet vanilla @youtheory Collagen Powder (click the link in bio for a coupon!)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tablespoons coconut sugar
1 1/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 cup blueberries
Coconut oil spray
Preheat waffle iron on medium high heat. In a medium bowl add gluten free flour, baking powder, collagen powder, cinnamon and coconut sugar and blend. Mix in egg, almond milk and coconut oil and combine well. Fold in blueberries until mixture is smooth. Spray waffle iron on both sides with a generous amount of coconut oil spray. Add 1/2 cup mixture to the center of the iron and close. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes until waffles are golden. Be sure to spray generously with coconut oil spray for each waffle. Makes 4 waffles.
Vanilla Lemon Glaze 🍋
2 tablespoons vanilla almond milk or coconut milk yogurt.
1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
Zest of one lemon
Add yogurt and lemon to a small bowl and mix well. Drizzle onto waffles and top with lemon zest.

Anniversary dinner at @true_food_kitchen
I first ate at this restaurant in Phoenix last month with the girls from class and was floored! I had no idea we had one in Chicago. .
So nice to go into a restaurant that is based on fresh, whole, anti-inflammatory, seasonal foods! ☺️
No one looks at you like you have 2 heads when you ask for gluten free and to sub out grains for more veggies. .
Ok, we did have dessert, which we never order, BUT it was grain free, gluten free, dairy and flourless! 💕
They even gave us a free dessert for our anniversary!
This is what my breakfast is, doesn’t necessarily look like, every morning 🤷🏼♀️ I never get sick of oatmeal and I’m always switching up my protein, collagen, and toppings, to make things interesting. 1/2 Cup @bobsredmill gluten-free oats, @malkorganics Unsweetened cashew milk, @primalkitchenfoods Vanilla collagen. Topped with @nutiva Cacao nibs, blubs, & roasted cinnamon butternut squash which has become my new fav oatmeal topping.
